"I have been using Tim‘s carpets for over 30 years for all of our work. The installers that they work with have been with them a long time and are in the habit of doing the job right."

"The floor installer arrived and finished as per agreement. The installer knows what he's doing and with the help of his wife I got the look I was after. There was a shortage of two transition pieces that go in the doorways. The first time the factory sent the wrong color so the pieces had to be re-ordered. From the date of installation to the signing off of the project was about seven weeks. Patrick was right on it as soon as he was made aware there was a problem so I never got upset as the missing pieces were just two doorway transitions pieces. The main installation took two days which was most satisfactory."

"It went really well. Very well.  We live 300 miles away and J and I was perfect to do this difficult job without our being there.  Patrick went to the home and gave us an estimate.  Patrick communicated with pictures every day and moved right along on the job.  No excuses.....he did the work and we were well informed.  We were lucky we had him as it turned out to be a difficult job and he is very good at what he does.   <br /> We have worked with other contractors in the Newport area and Patrick is by far the best, the most reliable and the easiest to work with.  And they do beautiful work.  Very polite and respectful, too."

"We had the guys remove the old countertops and make a template for the new ones which we picked out from their products. The countertops were installed beautifully- they also put new countertops on the kitchen island. Also, we had the wooden floors repaired and refinished by one of their expert suppliers-floors looked like model home quality. The carpeting thruout the entire house was replaced with new carpet. A wood stove was removed and a brick wall was removed, repaired and repainted. The results of the work were outstanding. The workmanship was excellent, the pricing was good and the timeframe was good. The suppliers used in support of the work were equally outstanding. I've had additional work done since then by these same guys and again the work was excellent. Mac and Shane are gentlemen and craftsmen in what they do. <br />"

"I had originally gotten an estimate from HomeDepot-- $5000+ !!! I flat could not afford this. It was SO much beyond what I thought it was going to be that I almost just gave up and left the bare concrete with a throw rug over the top. But I thought just to be sure, I should get another estimate. I stopped by Carpetco more or less by accident (Lucky me!). <br /> The installer from Carpetco came out and did the measurements without a charge-- out of the box, this made me happy, since HomeDepot charged $50-- and THEN would not even give me a copy of the measurements!! <br /> Well, their estimate came in at $2823.46! And this was with a slightly better quality of flooring than HomeDepot-- I was so excited that I could afford it! This was actually not much more than the $2500 that I'd thought it would cost--the higher amount was due to the odd shape of the room, with a lot of material waste. Very happy, I signed up! <br /> My first choice of vinyl was on backorder. I got a phone call with an estimated arrival date. I had actually waffled back and forth between two patterns-- I asked about the second pattern. It was in stock and the installation was scheduled. <br /> Don't have much to say about it other than-- WOW, the room looks fabulous! Ken Brown and brother Don showed up as scheduled, worked diligently, and next thing I know, I had a new floor. All too often, I pay for work to be done, only to have the thought later that--yeah, they got it done, and it was ok, but... *i* would have done a better job. <br /> Not so in this case-- I feel very good about the money spent on labor. I couldn't have done as good a job myself. Thanks, guys! <br />"

"Service provider (owner) arrived exactly at the appointed time and did the work for a very fair price. He was pleasant, professional and efficient, and he was able to remove a set-in stain that I hadn't been able to budge. The next day after the carpet had completely dried, one heavily soiled traffic pathway had a streaked appearance that didn't disappear when I vacuumed the area, so I called to ask for a redo of that area. He called back promptly to set up an appointment, again arrived on time and re-cleaned that area so now it looks great. No charge for the rework; he guarantees his work. I will definitely call this company again."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Lincoln City, OR

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
