"If you need quality concrete work done, Custom Aesthetic Concrete LLC is the company to hire. Jucobe and Ashley provide excellent quality service, reasonable prices, work very hard and are professional and friendly. Within the past three years, we have hired them twice. The first time was to replace the end of our driveway and the drainage pipe since we live on a busy road. We loved it so much that we recently hired them again to pour a turnaround pad off our driveway. Very pleased. We definitely recommend them for any concrete job you need!!"

"James Pollard and his crew did an great job removing old driveway and putting in a new driveway. The entire crew worked very hard and know their craft well. I highly recommend James Pollard construction. This type of work is physically very hard and when I had it done the temperature was high. The clean up afterward could have been a bit better."

"I’ve previously worked with H&S Concrete on a residential driveway and textured concrete walkway project which is precisely why (when a new concrete pad and another walkway project was being considered) I once again sought their services. Stacy and his crew are professionals in the truist sense of the word. Courteous, friendly, prompt, accommodating, and customer oriented are all descriptors of his character while artisanry with a particular attention to detail are descriptors of his approach to the work itself. I highly recommend and refer H&S Concrete for any residential concrete work."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Lincolnton, GA

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
