"Carolina Mold Solutions called back, tested, assessed, cleaned and encapsulated our crawlspace this past year doing a great job quickly. I then had another worker breach the encapsulation this fall and Carolina Mold came by and did the repair without charging me....just an example of going the extra mile to take care of a customer. They are the best!"

"Ted from Biotek noted that since I had already done some home project work, the fix needed was actually something I could do myself. He gave great feedback on the root problem for moisture continuing to build up was the lack of a hose feeding to a vent from the bathroom fan, and that a simple dryer hose running to an existing vent exit in the attic would help on that front. He then gave steps on using a vinegar solution, elbow grease, and letting the area dry for several days (avoid that shower) after killing the existing mold, before applying a layer of mold sealing primer (like Killz). He saved me at least $2500 compared to some quotes I'd received to take care of the problem."

"If you are dealing with the stress of potential toxicity or visible mold growth, I cannot recommend Ryan at Convenient Mold Testing & Remediation LLC highly enough. From the initial assessment, it was clear that Ryan brings a high level of expertise and professional integrity to a field that can often feel overwhelming for a homeowner. He didn't just look at the surface; he performed a comprehensive evaluation to identify the root cause of the moisture and the specific nature of the mold present."

"We were referred to 24/7 Aqua Dry by our mold inspector, Mold Authority and had a great experience! Dan came out right away and gathered all the information he needed to submit to our insurance company for our claim. He spent a great deal of time talking me through the process and what to expect and was always available via phone or text. He went above and beyond, to ensure that our home was safe for my husband to return to after the remediation. I would highly recommend them to anyone!"

"It went very well! My inspector was on time, Knowledgeable and detailed. I was informed of my results by Jeremiah, a senior Mold Analyst with Mold Test Company, he was also very detailed and knowledgeable. I hope to not need their services again but if I do, I will be using them again. Although I had no viable mold, I did have a water leak in a bathroom and thought it would be a good idea to get tested. I am very glad I did because there was mold present, and it was a dangerous strain. We treated our home for the mold and the mild symptoms I had been experiencing quickly abated. I had no idea mold could have been responsible for it, I thought a persistent cold or perhaps allergies had been the cause. Thank you again!"

"The home we are purchasing is 5000 sqft with a basement and has been used a rental property for most of its existence.  It was important to us to get the right inspector to ensure that the property, which probably hasn't been kept up with as well as most private residences, was in good shape.  Our real estate agent had someone picked out, however, being an Angie's List member I wanted to be in control of who we chose and it wasn't a tough decision based on customer feedback.  Joe was a little more expensive than some other inspectors, but it was clear that he would be detailed and thorough.  <br /> Joe arrived on time and was already inspecting the outside by the time I arrived.  I tagged along making sure not to get in the way, but Joe would stop and discuss what he was seeing, let me know of possible hazards and issues.  He also pointed out main water shutoff valves, regulators, gas manifolds, etc. which will be invaluable once we are living in the house.  Joe spent over 4 hours and had a detailed and summary version of the inspection to me by late that evening.  The report was very detailed with accurate pictures.  He didn't just include what was wrong, but also provided information on recommended construction standards and  links with pictures on how to fix the problems. <br /> We opted for the radon test mainly because of the basement and even though we haven't received the results (it takes at least 48 hours of testing) we feel that it is well worth the extra money to feel safe, not to mention if levels are elevated and we need to request remediation.  Joe also, set up a termite inspection for us at a very reasonable rate so we were able to get everything done in one shot, with one payment. <br /> Joe is extremely knowledgeable and thorough.  His reports were informative and easy to read.  I would highly recommend using him for your home inspection. <br />"

FAQs for mold & toxic material test projects in Lincolnton, NC

Some companies offer a no‑cost phone or video consultation that screens for red flags. If the discussion points to a real issue, the pro will recommend a paid on‑site inspection. The complimentary call clarifies whether you need full testing, but it isn’t a substitute for samples, lab work, or a written report. Always confirm what the free service covers before you schedule.

A standard inspection, which includes basic air and surface samples, takes an average of two hours. If the pro needs to probe hidden spaces, such as wall cavities or ductwork, plan on up to six hours. Extra time allows the inspector to reach tight areas, collect additional samples, and document findings. Lab analysis is a separate process and often adds several business days to the overall timeframe before you receive the full report.

Mold thrives where moisture lingers and air flow is poor. Common hotspots include bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, window sills, HVAC vents, fireplaces, crawl spaces, and enclosed attics. Check these areas regularly—especially after leaks or high‑humidity weather—to catch growth early and avoid costly repairs.

Unchecked mold can knock 20% to 37% off a home’s market value because buyers worry about hidden damage and health risks. Even after remediation, visible staining or a history of major moisture issues can still lower offers and prolong the time on the market. Addressing mold quickly protects both your property’s structural integrity and its resale appeal.
