We have several dormers and he noticed that the existing transitions between the dormer siding and the roof had been poorly done and that the siding shingles were wicking up water from the roof. He suggested a better way to handle these transitions using trim boards with flashing and drip caps. Although it seemed like this was the most tedious part of the job and was very time consuming, he was determined get this stuff done right regardless of the time needed.
