"I bought a really nice regency gas fireplace from South Shore Fireplace and couldn't have been happier with the way they treated me and completed the installation. They were the most attentive and considerate companies I approached which is why I went with them. We couldn't get the time of day from other fireplace stores. These guys were right on the ball from the start. Spent a lot of time going over the different stoves and options that go with them all. The installation was scheduled and went very well. Installers were very thorough and clean. This was a complete installation, needed the chimney as well as the stove. Everything was done perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Recently, the stove I picked had a recall and I was informed and updated by Scott as soon as he had news. This actually went on for a couple of months but Scott would contact me every couple of weeks and let me know what was going on. When the replacement part came in, they scheduled the work IMMEDIATELY and I met Jon, one of the senior techs and installers. Jon was on time, meticulous and thorough. Very clean and organized as you would expect a master craftsman to be. The repair went very well and made my stove run better than ever before. When your happy with a job someone does for you, you hardly ever write a review but something turns sour, people can't write one quick enough. When I need something done, I go online and read all the awful reviews of probably great companies so I do not hire them. This review is for all of you that are like me and come here to get the low down on a business. Do not hesitate to go with South Shore Fireplace. It is very hard to find craftsman who really care about what they do and also so nice to deal with. South Shore Fireplace will be my go to guys for the rest of my life. "Fred's Chimney Magic came to our home after we purchased it. We have an old house and the original chimney everything needed to be repaired...the chimney was falling apart. We needed a new liner and mason work. The head technician was so knowledgeable. They gave us a very fair price to put in a new liner, chimney cap and repair the falling brick. "I called for an inspection and consult and the owner just happened to be working on a job in the area.  He came over within an hour or two after my call.  He went over the whole chimney system and advised me on a number of issues and options.  I had done a lot of research on the issues I thought I had, and he confirmed most of my fears, yet provided me with a great deal of information and options.  I feel like the quote was fair, although I cant afford the work YET... As soon as I can, they will get the job for sure.  VERY friendly, VERY thorough.
