In addition to the screen porch, they built a deck extension - so nice that I decided to have them replace the existing deck, installed a basement slider and replaced the door, installed a new fence and built a shed. "Pacific Stone and Tiles came to measure and showed about 6 choices for granite selection for the offer price. We were working with our own interior designer and we were on FaceTime with her. She nixed the 6 choices so Pacific Stone showed us another granite which was from India and was mostly white with few markings and some reddish-brownish highlights. The effect of this Indian granite was white and it coordinated nicely with our maple cabinets. Our interior designer told us to choose that and we agreed to pay Pacific Stone $1000. more for this granite from India. No name was given for this new granite in writing. When the day of installation came, the old countertop was removed. I did not think to go out and look at the granite in the truck before installation. The installation was done very efficiently and very nicely. However, the countertop did not look like what we were expecting. The color effect was gray with many markings. We were expecting a whitish granite and got gray. I asked to see the original sample that we had been shown when we selected the white granite but they did not have it on the truck. I contacted Pacific Stone and they emailed me a photo of what they said was the granite sample they showed me, but it did not look what they showed me. The granite we got was called moon white on the final bill but it had no name on the original invoice we signed. I made a number of inquiries about the discrepancy between the granite color we expected and what we received. Pacific Stone said there are natural variations in the appearance of each granite variety. However, we paid $1000 more because we thought we were getting the granite color we and our interior designer viewed and chose. I don't think I got the granite we selected and feel I paid $1000 too much. I now have to figure out how to get the granite to coordinate with the maple cabinets as well as regretting that I paid $1000 more than I should have."

"We contacted Richard regarding the job, and had a quote back within the week - good quote.  He quickly responded to any questions  we had, and scheduled the work.  They completed the demo in one day, a few days before the cabinets showed up - if I had to do this again, I would hold off on the demolition until the cabinets were in, as it is difficult to live without a kitchen, especially with children.  It took approximately two weeks for the kitchen to be completed, with slight delays due to a damaged cabinet, time for the new countertops to set, appliance delivery, etc.  One hitch developed when the dishwasher was hooked up incorrectly, and water ran into my basement - I called Richard, and once I got through the answering service, he contacted the plumber, and we resolved the problem immediately over the phone, and the plumber was at my house at 8 the next morning ( a Saturday of a holiday weekend) to permanently fix the problem.  At the end of the two weeks, we had a great new kitchen, well installed, and we were thrilled!"

We had 2 little spots that needed attention some months after completion and the foreman came out and fixed them. He has many years of experience so he was able to ascertain the problem and was fixed. No charge. We were very happy with the crew, their work ethic and professionalism.
