The person who did the actual repairs was very thorough. He did find an issue and corrected that problem, did an overall check of the rest of the roof, and corrected some other areas. But he is dead on the money with reframing and adding extra support in that system so I am confident that he not only fixed the problem; he has prevented any major downstream problems. Another unexpected problem happened when Gary was going to fix a leak in our porch roof. What looked like a caulking job has turned into removal of water damGe stucco & trim to replace. But also he had to repair a bad roofing job where they cut shingles way back from side of house & did not put flashing. We found our same shingles at Beacon Building and Gary reshingled the area which was about 1/3 rd of porch size. He was so careful to rebuild the valley and cut shingles to perfectly match the pattern along with replacing flashing; tar paper ; and moisture barrier. He does what I call a triage of the problems and discusses his plan of attack with me. Then he methodically goes to work . Even after a long day on the ladder or scaffold; he always cleans up the area never leaving a mess. He is a polite, amiable young man who I find to be good hard-working man who is honest as day is long. We still have work going on but I go to sleep Thankful for this fine Handyman and plan more jobs in future where I only want him to do…."

He taped off the trim, removed (and replaced) the wall plates, and moved and put back all the furniture - that was a big help to me.  I had bought the paint and tape, but I am sure that the company could have helped with that as well. 2 years later, the paint still looks great.

Always available, good flow of communication, sending me pics throughout the installation. Educated me on the process, materials, best practices, etc. I got bids from several roofing contractors. DAV had the best price and also gave me the best feeling overall that they would handle the job properly. They got the job done quickly, didn't tear up my landscaping, cleaned up very well afterwards. Michael even came by a couple times to sweep for any missed nails himself. Over several years our front door began sticking and the deadbolt lock was not properly closing.  Rick came out and after several attempts to adjust the door determined that the door installation required a reinstall.  He took the frame apart and explained the poor job previously done on installation.  He re-set the door, installed insulation and reinstalled the frame.  His work quality was outstanding.  He was very responsive, timely and his price was very fair for the work that he performed.  I intend to use him again.
