"We had another plumber come out & they were unable to correct a leak in our kitchen faucet. That plumber recommended we buy a new faucet, which we did. Luckily this "other" plumber did not charge us. Once we purchased a new faucet, I got this big deal to have it installed. The faucet was likely original to our 24 year old home. The plumbers could not free the nuts from the faucet & I recommended they just cut it out. The only small issue we had was that they came to our house much later than promised. In their defense they were repairing a major leak in someone's basement & they wanted to clean up before arriving."

"Jaime knows what he's doing. We chose to have him install our door over Lowe's. Looks great, and we will have him over again for other projects."

"Love these guys! They were fast, professional, and explained the whole process to me. I called them on a Friday and they came out that coming Monday for us. They arrive at the exact time they estimated as well. I will 100% be using them for all my furnace, water heater, duct cleaning, etc. in the future! I work from home and they were very considerate of my time and space, and were very considerate with the use of their booties and tarps on my floor. They're a smaller company and very hard workers!"

"I'm completing this review for may sister Barbara G. , Parma Ohio who is 82 year old, on a fixed income, is legally blind, and does not have access to the internet. Alan Luf did several projects for my sister starting in 2012. All of them satisfactory. So she did not hesitate to contact him to renovate her kitchen. Work started mid Aug 2019. Most of the work was completed in Aug 2019. He was paid in full because he promised to return to complete the job. Contractor returned in Oct 2019 to compete work - backsplash and molding and trim. Backsplash could not be completed because one box of the blacksplash material was the wrong style. Contractor had to reorder to complete the work. My sister spoke to the contractor several times from Oct 2019 thru Mar 2020. He said he had the correct backsplash and would be over to complete the job. He was always a 'no show'. He now does not return her phone calls. Contractor is accepting work from other customers and completing those jobs, but he is either unable or unwilling to complete the kitchen project for my sister. At this point she is asking him to give her all materials needed to complete the work plus a refund so she can hire another contractor to complete the kitchen renovation. I have sent hm a message on Facebook, wrote a review on his Facebook page, sent him a certified letter regarding return of materials and a refund. There had been no response from him."

"I was having drainage problems with my downspouts on the back of my house not draining correctly. Since I bought a house almost 50 years old I had no idea where the water should come out and why it was backing up. Designs of Akron-Canton came in assessed my problem gave me an idea of what should be done what a great price. The owner Kevan was very professional, and very easy to talk and the quote seemed very reasonable so honestly I just didn’t have the time or patience to keep having people come in, so I just went with them and I’m glad I did. they did a great job and they did the job in a timely manner and best of all they didn’t leave a mess around my house."

"His quote was reasonable, and we hired him because of his Angie's List reports and extensive experience. When I made the initial call to hire him on a Saturday & he wanted to start the following Mon., I wasn't ready since I hadn't picked out my tile yet. We arranged to have him start on Tues., finishing on Friday. Mon. evening I called him while at the store for help in determining how much tile I needed. Apparently, the equation to figure out the amount of tile to purchase was not that complex after all; he told me to buy 30 sq. ft of 6x6's and 55 sq. ft of 4x4's for a 70 sq. ft shower. I ended up returning over half of my 4x4 tiles. When making arrangements for his schedule, we didn't want to leave him at the house alone and he had another job in the area. So we agreed he would try to do both jobs in the area, starting the other job in the morning and coming to our house around 3 pm and working for about 6 hours each night. That worked well with our work schedule, and we were happy to accommodate him to work 2 jobs in the same area. His first night on the job, he unloaded my truck of the tiles and said he had to leave to pick up his daughter at school. He left our house by 4 pm. He had some flexibility with his other job for Wed. morning and we agreed to meet him at the house at 8:30 am(he chose the time). At 8:45 am, he had not arrived and my husband called him to find out where he was. Bob got angry and asked "what does it matter what time I get there, you're going to be there all day." I called Bob a few minutes later to ask him about his estimated arrival. He got angry with me, said he was stuck in traffic and he works on his own schedule and doesn't punch a time clock. If this is how it was going to be, he didn't want the job. I explained that I was merely calling him to talk about his work schedule, since he didn't start as we discussed the day before, and he was already late. I had no intentions of letting him leave the house at 3 pm to go to the his other job. He agreed to stay the whole day and he got much accomplished. The rest of the job seemed to go OK. He was behind schedule, so had to come to the house on Sun. to finish. While the tile work was beautiful, the niche wasn't centered on the wall. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, he threatened to quit the job again. He did stay to finish the job, although I think he hurried; the niche tiles are not level. We had to call him back because the shower spout wasn't working properly and some grout was cracking, he came out right away to troubleshoot. He was a bit messy. I asked him at the time of the quote and on his first day to put plastic down on the stairs, but he did not. He did, however, take off his shoes. I was not happy with his quick temper and lack of professionalism."
