"Very professional. On time and communicated with me prior to the bat insulation removal and install of what was going to happen (i.e. first clean up crew, and then second crew showing up to finish the project). They also did an effective clean up after the installation and explained the assessment done prior to install and after installation. The job took longer than estimated, and that was because the estimate incorrect, so they had to wait for additional insulation to be delivered. But because it was their error, they did not charge me for the extra insulation. I would definitely recommend them in the future."

"We purchased the sink, medicine cabinet, toilet, tile, etc. and J. Brewer & Assoc. did all the work. Spencer Lyman was the project manager on the remodeling and he was easy to work with. He responded quickly to any text or phone call we made. All the workers were polite and, generally, cleaned up things well at the end of the work day. My husband designed the layout and if the workers thought something might not be exactly what we wanted they would inquire about it. Their suggestions worked well for us. The bath was demolished to the studs. When this was done they discovered the floor was not exactly level so they did some extra work to get that corrected - with a change order. We were very pleased with the tile work and all the rest of the work done in that bath. This was a very dated 1958 bath with pink and black tile and it is now an updated, modern bath. It did take longer than we expected to get the work done - about eight weeks - but overall we were pleased with the work and would hire them again. Another thing I appreciated was that I told Spencer that I am sensitive to smoke and requested that no workers smoke on our property. They all honored my request."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"I pick this provider because he is the one of total two "super service award" winners when I searched on angie's list webpage, though his review is much worse than average. I thought it maybe because of bad communication. Now I seriously doubt how or by what standards angie's list gives out "super service award" to a provider. I regret not using the other super service award provider, though the cost is a lot higher, at least, I believe they are reliable and trustworthy.
