"
Very professional! The workers were on time and the foreman spoke with us every day to inform us how things were going, what was done and what was to be done that day. They cleaned up at the end of each day.

The skylight above the kitchen and the stove vent were not installed correctly and were leaking through the roof causing the roof damage. A! matched the roofing materials surprisingly well and did a high quality job and cleaned up nicely after themselves. They bid aprox. 25% higher, to cover unknowns. But, only charge for the work they do.

All-in-all I'd highly recommend them!

"

"In moving to Bellingham in August of 2010, we purchased a condominium that had a problem with water leaking into the crawlspace. Even though the HOA periodically pumped the water out, we wanted a more efficient and permanent solution. The building inspector for our home personally recommended Mark and 'The Carpenter's Brother' as a company that does all types of home repair, including sump and crawlspace work. We met with Mark and he quickly assessed the problem and laid out a simple sump and drainage system that would keep the crawlspace dry, protecting the wood superstructure of the building from eventual mold and rot. Mark and his son quickly did the trenching for drainage and added drain tile and rock. They then installed the sump system and replaced the vapor barrier that had been pushed out of the way by the people that had been doing the periodic pumping. The crawlspace is now clean and dry and the pump is working perfectly so far. Mark and his son were a pleasure to work with and were always easily accessible, on time, and very professional. They impressed us as being good honest people doing high quality work at a fair price. The Carpenter's Brother offers a wide range home repair services and we would recommend them to anyone."

"My big project for this year was to replace the bad siding and give my home a new paint job which it was really needing. I was going to have a contractor do the siding work and I was going to take on the painting project
Earl Hassler of Building Dimension LLC and Dan from DTM construction came to my home on the set date and time. They proceeded to replace my bad siding with new Hardy Board siding, reframe the windows. They worked with and around all the utilities that were on the south side wall and put everything back just as it was before. They were very professional and quick. They both would readily answer any questions or concerns I had. I was amazed at how fast they were able to complete the job; and how top notch it was for as quick as they were.
A few days after that job was completed, I was looking my home over and decided that the New Siding made the remaining Old
Siding look even older. I again contacted Earl and explained that I would like to replace the remaining siding on my home and to remove a door and replace with a window; and would he mind giving me an estimate. Earl came at our agreed upon time and walked with me while we discussed what would be done on the new project. He submitted me a bid that was very reasonable and I accepted his bid.
Earl and Dan came to my home in Mid-September to complete the siding of my home. They did a phenomenal job; and were as fast and thorough as the first ime. Earl even left his ladders for me to use when painting the high walls, which I really appreciated. The high walls (south and north side) on my home are almost 2 stories high. That makes for alot of siding and painting. The entire project included 4 sides to my home and 1 1/2 sides of my garage; reframing 5 windows, 1 large bay window, removing 1 door - installing a new window, and framing sliding deck doors and adding misc. trim that Earl and I had discussed. The whole siding and window replacement came to less than $7000.00. And my home looks brand new!
I would absolutely recommend Earl Hassler of Building Dimensions and Dan from DTM construction to anyone needing really good and reasonable contractors."

"
Robinson Contracting showed up as scheduled and began removal of the siding in question. During the removal, several construction issues were discovered and brought to my attention. Sound board and sheetrock had been used in the original exterior construction of the house apparently, just below the 15lb felt under the siding. The associated chimmney next to the siding job had been migrating rainwater into the interior chimmney alcove for years, making a mess of things. I previously had the chimmney re-mortered in an effort to stop the leak, with no success, and was about to have a roofer peel off the composition to hopefully find the source of the water migration. Robinson Contracting quickly identified the rainwater path and the resulting damage. They replaced structural lumber, removed the exterior sheetrock and sound board panels, and in doing so, found an electrical problem that could have easily caused a fire and destroyed my home. Several runs of Romex wire had been spliced and branched in different directions without the use of junction boxes. There was up to 6 connections along a single 15' run of wire, with nothing more than wire nuts. Each of those connections had scorch marks on the fiberglass insulation.

In addition, my gutter downspouts in the area of the siding job, had poor connection points that allowed rainwater to be released onto the existing siding, which wasn't visible for years. Robinson Contracting removed the bad wiring, installed junction boxes as necessary, to include a new exterior GFCI recepticle. All exterior sheetrock (oxymoron) and sound board was removed and replaced with plywood. Affected structural lumber was removed and replaced. The gutter downspouts were re-engineered to work correctly. The new siding was expertly installed and looks beautiful! Serious attention to detail where the siding meets the chimmney, the power meter and the exterior door frame molding. They replaced the old weathered door molding to enhance the look of the new siding. I now have a dry interior associated to the repaired outer wall, proven with the recent rain events. Dangerous electrical connections have been resolved, and I give myself some credit for hiring Robinson Contracting, making my home safe. The construction mess disappeared as quickly as it was created. Very freindly, competant and versatile crew. The company owner, Mark, is a great guy! Very organized and easy to work with.
Did I mention excellent rates? This is my new and quot;go toand quot; contractor ..... period!
"

"Our experience with Piazza Construction was positive from start to finish. Bill Inman managed our project and all appointments were handled professionally and on time and all calls and e-mails answered promptly. The estimated cost was very reasonable and the final bill was just as estimated. The two men who performed the work were on time, courteous and most importantly they did an excellent job. When our ceiling proved not to be exactly level, they took the initiative to conform the beams to the ceiling despite the extra time and they did this without additional charge. All furniture was moved as necessary and the carpet and furniture covered. After completion, the room was cleaned up and the furniture moved back. Bill was on hand for the initial estimate and at the beginning and end of the two work days. He himself did a beautiful job altering our kitchen cabinet door. We have several other remodeling projects in mind for the future and we will not hesitate to use Piazza Construction."
