A very professional, courteous, and personable plumber, Bruce, diagnosed the problem and made an expert repair for a reasonable cost. We were very pleased. Without any sales pressure at all, he and his equally expert associate, Matthew, made an inspection of our water pipes and discovered three issues: 1) the "water shutoff valve" at the base of the house was actually a gas shutoff valve!, and 2) a number of our water pipes were galvanized pipe instead of the desired/required copper pipe. While under the house, Matthew spotted issue # 3) and photographed it: one of our heating ducts had become disconnected, thus pumping hot air into the crawlspace!
