"Miguel's crew includes two of his brothers, Antonio and Juan. They did an outstanding job removing and installing new tile to the master bathroom shower, removing a free standing wall for larger entrance to the shower and removing and replacing all flooring tile in all three bathrooms and laundry room in the house. They were always punctual in arriving early in the morning, working diligently and professionally and completed the job in the span of only two weeks. We are thrilled with the results and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering tilework in their home!"

"We scheduled the cleaning on a day that was raining and the guy (sorry - I forgot his name) was fine with rescheduling since the carpets would have taken 10 or 12 hours to dry with all that moisture in the air.  That was great - but we were thrilled with the work when it was finally completed.  They were fast and every efficient.  All the carpeting and rugs looked new.  They got out some wine stains and coffee stains that we never thought would be removed.  I would not hesitate to call them again. <br />"

"I had heard about Cal-Coast Carpet warehouse from a few different folks, so we decided to call them to see what the price difference would be between them and that larger (very orange colored) giant do-it-yourself chain. Big Orange wanted to charge us $4,500 to do the job, so we decided to call Cal-Coast Carpet. When I called to set up the estimate and measure, the owner Robert Fastlaben came out and measured himself. Later that afternoon, we went to their showroom and picked out carpet and vinyl - the estimate - HALF of what Big Orange wanted to charge us HALF!!! Plus, we got waaaaay better customer service. We were in the process of getting our house painted, so we set it up that after the painters finished the vinyl guy would come in, followed by the carpeting guys. They did a great job! The vinyl guy came, took out the toilet and the old vinyl in the bath and laid down the new vinyl - it looked great. He was very professional and even did touch-ups on the baseboards where they had to pull them to lay the vinyl. A few days later the carpeting guys came and laid the new carpet. Terrific job! I would definitely use them again! <br />"

"Berry Construction did an amazing job helping us to recover from a major flood caused by a plumbing problem. Randy worked with the insurance company to maximize our claim process. Mike did a great job managing the various crews. Billy helped us to stay within our budget to select fixtures, tile and other essentials. We are very pleased with the results."

"The professional installers for the laminate flooring were indeed professionals paying close attention to details, such as random placement of materials, measurements and cleanliness. There was no and quot;hurry up and get it doneand quot; attitude. They spent one session just leveling the floor in one of the rooms to receive laminate flooring so that it would not only be level, but installed correctly. The second crew was the carpet installers who were also very accomodating in moving furniture and removing the old carpeting and laying the new carpet down. <br /> I would recommend this company and their very professional installers to anyone."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Los Osos, CA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
