"Work was excellent. Mike removed all wrinkles from carpet and you’d never know they were there. He was unexpectedly short handed the day we were scheduled, and he still showed up, worked very hard, and stayed late to make sure the work was done right. Would highly recommend him."

"Our kitchen floor is a mess. After the initial installation. all the tiles shifted. The installer removed the whole floor and reinstalled. When asked about using spacers, the installer said he just eyeballs it. We now have grout lines that are 1/8", 1/4" and corners that do not match. Recently the grout began to crumble. Chad from Calcutta came out and promised to send someone out to repair when they got the grout color in stock. Well, we never heard anything. It's been about 4 months. I hate my kitchen floor. It is so hard to clean. Wish I would have gone with sheet vinyl. On a better note, the rest of the downstairs got vinyl plank and it looks very nice."

"Well what a disappointment. I spent a lot of time getting ready for this cleaning, making sure to move everything and wanted all the corners of the room done. The guy came in and sprayed some solution on the traffic areas and then used some type of brush thing over it. I expected the carpet to be steamed cleaned, which is was not. The corners of the rooms aren’t even touched and the walkway into the entrance into the dining room is totally dry, so not touched at all. I have cats so definitely wanted the corners of the rooms cleaned as they have done some damage there. Fortunately I have cleaned it very well, but still. Wanted it done professionally, which this was not. It was cheap, but not worth the money. I was never told they offer 2 types of cleaning and I guess she quoted me the cheaper ones. I would have paid more for a better job for sure."

"Save yourself time, frustration And money. Really honestly. I wish I never came across this company. signed our contract in april 28 2021. My “top of the line” 5 season sunroom… still not finished . Always waiting on parts, crew to come out etc. there is always an excuse with these business owners. Buyers, neighbors, friends … beware doing business which such company. Horrible communication doesn’t even do it Justice. We have had a wreck in our backyard since July 2021! It’s now March 2022 ? Check out these photos of how the aluminum conducts the cold air through as well as the windows causing it to freeze, yes frost on inside. Now in the day when worms up, there is literal puddles on our flooring, that we are wiping down daily to absorb all the moisture. This is with us having two dehumidifiers non stop on. I mean we live in Ohio, they claim you can use this all year round. What a joke ."

Lowe's Home Improvement

"It took over a year to complete. The original contractor hung the cabinets w/o allowing room for wood trim. Instead he used a furniture tape and painted it the wrong color along with the tops of all the cabinets. Two walls were removed and he drywalled improperly but Lowes finds it acceptable? Originally the designer and contractor came out to measure. I asked them out a second time to be sure there would be no surprises with the electrical. He installed two plugs not in code anyway. Lowes did have that done over. A section of counter space was measured wrong resulting in a cabinet I paid extra for was moved against a wall and a sheet was ordered twice for them to glue on the outer part of the cheaper cabinet. No reimbursement there. It was explained to me there would be oversight after every job. There was none. After the job started three months late, one guy worked for week and a couple of days then I didn't see anyone for a month. I asked for an inspector to come out after a few weeks of no work. I asked that the inspector take the contractor off my job because he yelled at me and was very rude when I asked him to do the electrical properly. When work resumed, they sent in the same contractor. He would not lower the cabinets that were not hung properly. He just continued on without fixing them and Lowes let it go. He put most handles on crooked. He was paid in full before the job so he had no incentive to do my job which is not the way it was supposed to go.. Finally they bring in a new contractor but unfortunately he made an error in judgement in the placement of cabinet door. It took twice as long to fix that problem because the designer ordered the wrong size twice. Otherwise he did much better job. The whole job was a year plus of mistakes made from the beginning. Lowe's takes your money up front so you have no recourse except to wait it out. They threw in a paint job for my trouble then when asked if I wanted a wall tiled, I said sure. I was given a call about two weeks later with the estimate for the wall, they included a minimum service charge for the job after I have already spent over $20,000 in that store and had been waiting months to have my kitchen finished. They ended up throwing in the wall because I wasn't about to pay for it. I wanted an extended warrantee for the furniture tape instead of wood trim above my cabinets. Will it last is my issue? Lowe's never addressed the fact that he also painted on all the cabinets while painting that tape. The walls improperly drywalled but acceptable to Lowe's I can only hope they are right because they won't extend a warrantee for that mistake either. I tried to give you the good and the bad but I will never use Lowe's again. This review would be much much longer if I reported all the ridiculous incompetency that occurred over the year plus it took them to finish."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Louisville, OH

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
