"Jose and Christian are remarkably talented and hardworking professionals. Our three-story Victorian home is a challenge to paint. Very steep metal roofing, intricate dormers and insets and several very high areas where trim boards required replacement. The crew from Worgem’s Painting was excellent. Great communication and friendly and informative. Matching paint colors perfectly and applying paint in as many coats as required to complete the job. The job came in at the price quoted and the price was significantly better than three other Angi supplied bidders on the job. A+ work all the way around. I would not even bother with other quotes if I need painting in the future - they are that good. Many thanks to Jose and Christian. It was a pleasure to meet you and the work was excellent."

"BDL Painters, LLC was terrific from start to finish. They had by far the most competitive price of the three estimates we collected - for the exact same work. They responded promptly to our request for an estimate and our subsequent questions. They showed up when they said they would, did consistently high quality, (beautiful!) detailed work, and were pleasant to work with, industrious, and left our house and yard cleaned up when they were done. "Our house is finished with a Drvit Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS). We needed a company to repair cracks and bulging in the exterior walls. We got several estimates - E.M.Texture was very competitive. What impressed us most was how patient and transparent Rob was. He explained what needed to be done and provided several alternatives depending on the scope of the work. He was very responsive and answered all of our questions. The crew was very prompt, professional and courteous. They cleaned the work area every evening. The finished product looks terrific. I can't over emphasize how terrific E.M. Texture was to work with. We highly recommend them."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Lovettsville, VA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
