"Bought a home in OTOW, and carpeting in bedrooms needed to be replaced. Spoke with several vendors and in a trip down, met Janice Ferguson. In business a long time, - had good selection and great advice. She and an estimator stayed late on a Friday to meet with us. Had several samples ready when we got there. Estimator went with us to the home, and measured. Wife picked out the tile. We gave the keys to a neighbor. Castle Carpets handled the rest. The neighbor contacted us saying the installer was amazing - and they will use Castle for their work. Price was right, work EXCELLENT - sent pictures as rooms were finished. I had whole houses tiled before, but this was by far the best job we have EVER seen."

"Robin of New Image Tile, Inc and his helper, who do the tiling for Joe's Carpeting, did the most beautiful job of laying, matching and grouting our floors. They sealed and leveled the cement floor. Robin aligned the tile in a way that harmoniously met our existing tiles. You would really have to study the tiling to know that each tile is not unique and one of a kind. The sealing compound came amixed with the grout. We have had the tile down 1 month with all looking as new. We use a dustmop most of the time. Occasionally, we vacuum and use a steam mop. The tile is refreshing to my bare feet; it is not cold and forbidding for walking around. We are loving our choice and the artful work done. Joe's staff were helpful and let us bring tile home to make a decision."

"This company is excellent.  We had a very bad experience with another provider so were really tight on time to do the job we wanted done before our family arrived for Easter.  We went to Micael's store and as they did not carry the tile we wanted they sent us to Proline Tile in Crystal River, with whom they have an account.  We found our tile and contacted Michael's to do the job.  They scheduled for Jimmie to come out quickly and measure up and he said he could do the work in a week and a half's time which was great for our time schedule.  The tiler (Sam who works with Jeff Stearns team) arrived on the Monday morning and began installing the tile and completed both the bedroom and lanai by the Friday evening.  He worked very hard all week and was meticulous with the finish.  He is awesome with his work and the job he did is so professional.  The following Monday we had the carpet fitted and the guys who came to do that also did a fantastic job.  They were neat and even though we had a seam in the carpet you cannot see it.  The whole job is finished to a wonderful standard and looks amazing so whenever we need carpet or tile again, we will go straight to Michael's. <br />"

"Back in July, an entire glass of orange gatorade was spilled on our 10 x 14, light gray, wool rug.  We attempted to blot and quickly remove the stain using vinegar and club soda, but we had no luck.  We had our rug professional cleaned, and the nasty orange stain persisted.  At this point, I began looking into alternatives to having the rug repaired rather than just live with this 1.5' x 1.5' stain on the rug (i.e., hiding it under furniture).  This is when I stumbled across Color Your Carpet.  Being that there wasn't a branch located near where we lived, I contacted the national number.  I completed the request form and sent pictures, but after this, I didn't hear anything back. <br /> <br /> After a few months, I got desperate and started dialing actual Color Your Carpet branches to see what was going on.  This is when I called Rich (FL office), and he explained that since we were out of area that typically a traveling technician would take care of us; however, he was willing to help us with our rug debacle.  We first had contact w/ Rich the beginning of December.  We e-mailed him photos, and he told us a good time to ship him our rug (availability).  We were a bit hesitant to ship our 10 x 14 wool rug, but he assured us that many customers do this, and he even gave us instructions on how to fold the rug.  He also asked us to include a color sample of what color we'd like the rug dyed.  He even gave us advice on how to secure the best pricing when shipping the rug (You pay for shipping there and back.). <br /> <br /> We shipped our rug the week after Christmas.  Rich promptly notified us when he received the rug.  He also sent us pictures when he completed the rug for our approval.  He had a bit of trouble with the stained part of the rug, and he even called to tell us that he had a setback and would need to dye the rug a bit darker to deal w/ that pesky orange gatorade stain.  About a week later (Jan 20th), our rug was delivered.  Rich did an excellent job removing any traces of the orange gatorade incident.  Gatorade is no longer allowed in the living room, so we hope to not use Rich's services on this rug anymore.  However, if we ever had any future stains with our rugs that cannot be cleaned, we wouldn't hesitate to contact Rich to take care of us."

"We contracted Doc's Restoration to build a custom pantry cabinet for our kitchen to match the style of the existing base and wall cabinets. From our first call to request a quote to the final quality control inspection after installation, every step in the process was executed with the utmost professionalism and kindness. We love it and Doc's Restoration is first class in all aspects of their business. Prior to the cabinet project, my wife and I hired Doc's Restoration to perform handyman services on our recently purchased house and their performance was impeccable. We recommend Doc's Restoration without hesitation."

"Ben and Sandra Licciardello quickly responded to my initial contact. Ben questioned my preference for aluminum siding instead of vinyl, explaining the pros and cons, and accepted that I was set on aluminum. Ben analyzed every aspect of the project. With a multi-story Victorian home, Ben was concerned about the safety of his crew and the price tag. Cost saving was incorporated without sacrificing quality or safety. I was contacted and included throughout the process to ensure the end result was to my liking. Ben offered suggestions based on his years of expertise to maximize the beauty of my home. <br> <br>Once underway, the crew was on site by 8:00 each morning. The installers offered to help me take down any pictures or mirrors which might be disturbed. This kind of thoughtfulness continued throughout the installation. A friendlier, more polite crew does not exist. They were responsive to my every request and concern. Ben visited the work site daily throughout the three weeks. Ben and I conferenced continuously. We inspected the house together to establish a punch list and again when everything was completed. The site was meticulously cleared of all construction debris on the final day. The old aluminum was hauled for recycling. <br> <br>I am absolutely thrilled with the final product. My home is even more beautiful than I anticipated. I will be contacting Licciardello Home Improvement for future projects on my home. They have my highest recommendation. <br> <br> <br>"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Lowell, FL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
