"Vogel's replaced the carpet on the upper floor of our house. The showroom experience was seem less and we had a lot of options to choose from. The sales person was super helpful and knowledgeable. Once we chose our carpet they set a date for the tear out and install. The tear out and install happened right on schedule and they did a perfect job with minimal disruption to the rest of the home. I highly recommend Vogel's!"

"I contacted Raul for a small job needing the carpet on the landing of our staircase replaced.  I had saved the carpet remnants from the original installation so we only needed a 4' x 4' section installed.  We were afraid the job was so small that it would be hard to find someone to take the job.  I contacted Raul and he was very accommodating and was able to find time between jobs to come by and install the carpet - and on the same day!!!  Raul was extremely responsive and professional in completing the work and I would highly recommend using this business for any of your carpet needs. <br />"

"It was easy to make appointment They came on time A pleasant gentleman. Quiet and quick work The carpet was hardly wet when he finished (does that mean a good job?) There were no huge stains to work on. The stairway was left with dark edges. I called the company to come back and they cleaned the stairs again. These dark edges are typical for older carpets and can't be removed"

"I contacted John and he called me back right away. My dog had ripped up part of the berber carpet on our stairs and we needed to fix it before we moved out of our rental home. John fixed it with some extra carpet taken from an unused closet. Looks great and you can't tell it was repaired! I would highly recommend John. He is professional and quick!;"

"Carpet To Go handled our carpet selection and installation, through the Costco program. We were extremely pleased with the entire process, from selecting the carpet, to the fast scheduling, and excellent installation which was completed in less than 2 days. The price was very competitive, and the installers were professional, clean and courteous. We would not hesitate to recommend Carpet To Go."

"Dennis White, aka My Flooring Guy, may be new to Angie, but he’s been in the floor business for a long time- and is a real pro. I needed carpet installed in just one room- a job that might have been too small for most. But My Flooring Guy did the work quickly, cleanly and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend him."

"These guys were amazing! Our sythetic fiber carpet was badly stained just from high traffic walking on it with bare feet over and over. I honestly did not think that they would be able to get the stains out of this very light colored carpet but they did. Apparently the company is owned by two best friends, so it is kind of family owned. Anyway they basically did the impossible, and made the carpet look like new again. Thank you Smith Bros!"

"Pure Clean did a fine job. They were professional, on time, and informative, letting us know what to expect. They told us our options, but did not try to upsell knowing our carpeting was brand new. My only complaint is that they did not remove several spots of latex paint. This surprised me."

"We were prepping our condo for resale. Macias had a number of well priced carpet options. They had the best price by far. We were able to schedule with just a few days notice. Christian was the installer. He arrived on time, and completed the work, removing and replacing the carpet and pad in the living room, dining room, two bedrooms, and hallway, in 5 hours. We have used them in the past, and will recommend them in the future. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Lowell, WA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
