"Very punctual, installers were great.  Can't see any seams!  The carpet is beautiful!  Criticisms: 1.  The salesperson never followed up with my quote and I had to call to find out the status; 2.  They measured incorrectly when they came to do the estimate so the installers didn't have enough carpet to do the job when they originally came.  They had to order more carpet and then come out a second time to finish the job.  3. They forgot to call me to tell me the additional carpet was in and to schedule the install. <br />"

"Jack's work is excellent! He cleaned my old carpets exceedingly well, and they look the best they have looked in ten years! In addition, he was meticulous and expert in patching a portion of carpet that my puppy had destroyed. Jack takes great pride in his work and it shows. I give him the highest recommendation."

"Great to work with. Good people. Wonderful workers. They also helped find a threshold for a tiled area they did not do the work on and replaced a loose tile they did not install. And, when I called to let them know that an employee had accidentally stained the carpet the first day, they came immediately to patch the area. Nobody would be able to tell that there had been a problem there at all. <br />"

"The new garage floor install was done to highlight a classic muscle car. It was designed in the checkered-flag pattern w/ Diamond Grid-Loc tiles and it came out beautiful. From the initial contact w/ Nicholas to the final install by the tile man, everything was handled as professionally as I expected. It's obvious why Amazon Wood Designs has an "A" rating on Angie's List. I would use them again, and have already recommended them and the Diamond Grid-Loc tile to my classic car friends. The cost of my Angie's List subscription paid for itself just by this using this recommended company. THANKS ANGIE'S LIST and THANKS AMAZON WOOD DESIGNS.  <br /> Mike Hea"

"Great! I went to Barnard's Carpet One in the morning of 2/22/16, Corey was very helpful and pointed me to exactly what I was looking for and in the price range/quality I was looking for. The carpet was for an empty room in a house that is being prepared to go on the market. I told Corey the situation and he came to the house to measure at 11:00AM and the installers were able to install by the same afternoon. <br /> Corey was very nice and polite as well as the two men who installed the carpet. <br /> Great job by all! <br />"

"First I would like to mention that we had a great experience with our sales person Charlie. He went out of his way to make sure we got what we wanted and what would work best for our staircase. He personally came to the house to measure and let us bring the sample boards from the showroom to see how it would look with our existing tile flooring and new paint.  <br /> The initial scheduling and installation went fine as well. Everyone came on time and called when they said they would to confirm the appointment. The installers were in and out pretty quick and the installation was acceptable. <br /> Our real issue with Capital came when we started noticing some of the carpeting on the risers coming loose. No big deal, things happen. We called to schedule a warranty repair. In normal circumstances we are only available on weekends, they said that the installation crews were about 2 weeks out if we wanted a Saturday, understandable. They called the next day and said they had an opening on Friday. I told Capital's office that I just happened to have my electrical contractor on site between 1:30pm and 4:30pm. They told me that they would call before they came to make sure someone would be there. The installer showed up at our door about 10am without a prior call. Of course no one was home. He called me and I said that I told the office no one would be at the house until about 1:30pm. He said he couldn't do the repair we had to reschedule.  <br />  My wife called Charlie to tell them what happened and he basically said he has no control over the installers. The scheduling office called back a few minutes later and we rescheduled the appointment for Saturday 5/23. I was planning on being at the house most of the day anyway due to other work. They called on Thursday 5/21 to confirm and told me the installer would call me by 10am to give me a time frame. My phone is on my person at all times and I was home all day I received no call and no one came by. <br /> Charlie, our sales rep, followed up 5/28 to see if everything was ok with the warranty work. I told him "no one called or showed up. I can't take time off to wait for an installer and I don't want to give up another day off waiting around for someone to come and fix the carpet, I'll make the repairs myself." He apologized and said he would contact the office.  <br /> Bottom line is, this is probably a fluke occurrence and people do make mistakes. I actually chose Capital based on Angie's List reviews. The carpet is good, the installation is ok (except for the bubbling risers and a couple of visible attachments) and Charlie at the Royal Palm Branch was great to work with. My issue lies with the communication of the installers and scheduling office. I can't tell anyone that they were horrible or not to use this company, I just had an unpleasant experience in the end. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Loxahatchee, FL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
