"We have worked with other carpet stores over the years and are fortunate to <br /> have found Carpet Carousel on Angie’s List. We needed to recarpet the upstairs <br /> study which is reached through a “floating” spiral staircase. Both the study <br /> and the treads of the staircase had to use the same material. <br /> <br /> We first had a store we were familiar with take a look. They initially <br /> weren’t sure how they would carpet the treads of the spiral staircase or how <br /> they would move the furniture to carpet the study. I then found Carpet Carousel <br /> on Angie’s List and Shawn came over. He immediately figured how to carpet the <br /> treads and move the furniture. We then visited their show room where Shawn <br /> showed us a number of samples that could work. We took a few with us and made a <br /> decision. In the meantime, we got a quote from the other carpet store and <br /> nearly fell over – it was just about twice the price of Carpet Carousel. <br /> <br /> The installation was excellent. The two men doing the job were punctual <br /> and knew exactly what to do. After the job was done, the area was vacuumed and <br /> the furniture replaced. I highly recommend Carpet Carousel and only wish I had <br /> known about them years ago. <br />"

"Nicky gave us a sale price on our carpet even though the sale hadn't started yet. He also gave us some good advice and we ended up going with a Berber carpet for our busy living room that's been exactly the right choice for us. The crew who showed up to install the carpet was on time, quick, and professional.  <br /> I called Nicky again the day before a big snowstorm. Someone had suggested carpet tubes as a way to keep a toddler busy, and Nicky wasn't at all fazed when I asked if I could have one. He sent over two tubes and even threw in some carpet squares (one of which is 3' x 8' and perfect for my hallway). My son was thrilled to roll his balls and trains down the carpet tubes, and I was thrilled that it kept him entertained when we were snowed in. <br />"

"We had carpet installed in 2016 and again this week. Paul is wonderful to work with, listens to your needs and takes the time to show you samples of what he understand is what you are looking for. The samples he showed me was exactly what I described to him I was interested in. He had samples ship to my house so I could look at the carpet in the natural light in my home. Installers where excellent and did amazing work."

"I'm very happy with Mazmanian! Basically, another company installed carpet for us and did a poor job, and I've been living with it for years (lumpy carpet). I heard good things about Mazmanian from a friend in the tile business, so I decided to give them a try. Ricky came out with a helper and did an outstanding job repairing the carpet, at a great price. Everyone I worked with there was friendly and helpful, and they are a small family business which I also like. I was also pricing out new carpet and their prices were very good. Mazmanian is my new "go to" flooring store."

"I would strongly recommend anyone to go to Lechmere Rug. We had a lovely wool rug and runner  installed in our basement in our home in Waban. The process was very easy and stress free. Patrick senior works the sales floor on the weekend is helpful/ humorous and does not use any pressure sales tactics. The installation measure was easy and the carpet measurer arrived on time and was polite. The carpet installation was a bit of a process as the usual installer was not available which led to another rather poorly trained staff to install my carpet leaving several problems with the installation.  Not to worry as the company does not employ these people anymore! The company always responded quickly and professionally and honestly wanted to resolve the situation. Patrick junior who seems to run the business was overall very helpful and totally went out of his way to make everything right. The company ended up replacing the rug and runner and making things look perfect and beautiful at no extra expense to us. My suggestion is to check this place out, take some samples home and try what work for you.  It is easy to get a quote as they have a nice person there who can figure out the costs. They have amazingly beautiful wool rugs at a fraction of the cost of Dover Rug and give them a try with the following caveat- Be sure to  ask for John who has been an installer with them for 27years- he will make your install be seamless and just perfect  and the carpet will look like a work of ART. It is really important the installer knows what he or she is doing as this is really an art and a bad install will leave you upset with how the carpet looks.  If a young group of males shows up for your install wait for John ( In his 40s-  silver fox type)  as he is really the only one I would want installing anything. The parking is small and the shop is not really luxurious - sort of cold and drafty but well worth the savings for the end product that you will have in your home. I Would  recommend this company to neighbors and friends for sure. I am so so so happy with the job they did and can't wait for my project to be finished. <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Lunenburg, MA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
