"Ean helped me plan and installed a walk-in shower in my bathroom to replace a fiberglass molded tub/shower. To make the shower bigger, he knocked out one wall that had shelving removed on the backside, rebuilt the new wall, and installed more plumbing to accommodate the extra space. The second wall was reduced to a half-wall and a door was removed. He dealt with new drywall, reinforcing beams over an open door space while creating the half-wall, installation of new shower and bathroom fixtures, and even did some painting. Shower tile and shower pan was subcontracted out to some very experienced and capable tile persons who were chosen by Ean. Ean is a very personable and easy to talk to. He listens. I asked his opinion about my ideas and he gave me his honest thoughts. He was very agreeable to work with when I would change my mind about something in the plans. He was very aware of leaving a clean workspace each day. Quality of work was excellent. I LOVE my new walk-in shower!!!"

"I asked George to take a look at some damage to my primary bathroom. He reviewed and recommended what work needed to be done. I asked some questions about the materials needed for the work, and he was extremely knowledgeable and patient with me. I selected some tile and a tub I wanted, and contacted him to schedule the work. The job took five days and he showed up on time every morning. His work was clean each day, as he protected the floors and the tub during the work. I live alone, so I wasn't around a lot while he was working, but he texted me about the progress each day and was very helpful throughout the process. What was extraordinary about this particular job is that I didn't order the right amount of bullnose tile, nor did I have the right grout, but George made some recommendations for some alternatives for finishing work and even was gracious enough to pick up materials several times for me. Despite the changes in some of the planned work, the price did not change. This was the easiest contracting work I've ever experienced, and I would highly recommend you hire Mr. Suba. "First off, I would like to say that I would highly recommend Burlingame Contracting for any remodeling work that you may need. My wife and I initially had Paul come out to do a complete remodel on two bathrooms in our home. During the design process Paul and his team listened to our vision for the bathroom and offered great ideas to build upon them while keeping to our bathroom budget. In a short amount of time Burlingame Contracting was able to transform our bathrooms by getting rid of the old cabinets, tub, drywall, flooring, doors, and lighting. They then installed new vanities, heaters, designed a pocket door to save room in a small bathroom, designed three built-in closet features, tore out a wall to create more space, installed a new tub, and installed new tile floors. In short, they made our bathrooms look amazing. I think the thing that impressed me the most about the experience was that during the remodeling phase Paul and his team ran into a few big surprises due to the original construction of the house and he was able to adjust on the fly while keeping the work going ahead. During the course of the remodel Paul ended up having to replace subflooring in a bathroom due to a prior unknown leak, fix electrical issues that were originally not set up to code, help relevel our home due to improper initial construction which led one side of our home’s foundation to sink over an inch into the ground, and he and his men ended up installing a French drain to help reroute water from a low point in our yard that was contributing to the sinking issue. During the entire process Paul kept us updated on the progress of the work, his next steps, options for design, and he went out of his way to make sure that we were happy with the job they were doing. Despite the surprises that occurred with the subflooring, sinking foundation, and the drainage issue Burlingame Contracting was able to adjust on the fly and offer cost effective solutions to address these issues. In short, it seemed like they were prepared to handle anything, and that is exactly what you want in a contractor. Overall, the work turned out beautiful and was of a very high quality. As I mentioned earlier, I would highly recommend them for any job that you may have. My wife and I will definitely be using them again.
