"This is the second tile job I've had Adrian work for us. The first job was to redo the tile for our hallway bathroom (floor and walls). We asked him to provide an estimate a few months back and decided to move forward a few weeks back. The job was to demo the floor in our laundry room, dispose of the old materials, install new backer board and tile. This work was completed on schedule and was perfectly done.

In addition to the laundry room, Adrian is redoing the tile in our guest bathroom. This part of the job includes demo of the wood floor, shower tile and remove sink. After completing the demo, we discovered a few things that I want to change before moving forward with the new tile installation. For example, I will be doing some sub floor repair, small reconfiguration of the space (framing changes), lighting changes, etc. Adrian was very adaptable to this change and was even able to suggest contacts to check with after I asked for any referrals.

Adrian always calls or texts to keep me informed of schedule and job updates. He's very friendly and detailed.

"The whole project went better than expected and extremely fast with no compromises on quality. Russell's leads the business and is the main planner and money guy - and safe to say that the rates are very competitive. Russell's crew are largely family members and were all extremely polite and considerate as we were living in the house during the project. The more senior crew members are very experience and clearly know finish carpentry and cabinetry very well. The younger guys took care of the more labor intensive work, but again were very skilled and fast. We did our project in two stages, the first only taking ~3 weeks with the larger kitchen and whole house remodel taking around 8 weeks; any other company would have taken 2-3 times as long. They moved fast, fast, fast. Over time, we learned to trust all the guys and would hire them again in a heart beat. I would say that this company isn't the type to hold your hand entirely through the project; you need to be into the details and understand what you're paying for. Before you sign the contract, make sure to specify every detail in writing of what you want an the exact cost."

"Great from Start to Finish We hired Signature Tile to do the tile work for two bathrooms in our home. Chad was great to work with from start to finish. We scheduled our project more than a month out because he is busy, and he started and finished on time. Clear communication throughout the project. This included making sure that we had the right tile and quantities, and that the bathrooms were ready for the work to begin. This made the job go so smoothly. There were no surprises. Chad kept the work areas clean as he progressed through the project. We wanted a change order mid-way through the project (add a shower niche that we had forgotten to include) and Chad was easy to work with, offered suggestions, and was clear on the additional price. The project areas were cleaner after Chad finished than when he started. The tile work looks great and we are very happy. "David came out right away to give an estimate and I had the estimate the following day. He was very personable and made sure to tell us a little about himself, his company,and his coworker Zach. We compared estimates and decided to go with David with scheduled work starting on July 28.
David, Zach, and Todd showed up July 28 around 8am. I was told that they had another job that they needed to finish up so Todd would be there all day and David/Zach would be back later.  I ran them through some of the additional work requests that were not included in the original estimate(re-tiling patch in shower, several more patches from the plumbers, baseboard). Received an estimate later that day and they even worked with us by using some left over materials from a previous  job to help lower the cost. 
We stopped by mostly every day, and at least one person was there anywhere between 7-8am and 6-7pm to get things done. There was a miscommunication early on regarding when they would be finished (initially was Thursday, then got pushed back to Saturday), but was able to reschedule all my other contractors so ended up not being a problem.  They also made sure to tell us of any issues they came across (downstairs drywall was pretty affected by the asbestos removal so gave options of just replace whole thing or fix). Really great about giving us quotes right away and not altering that figure after the fact. 
Overall, I think they all did a great job. They were all friendly and personable to talk to, took great care in protecting our floors, and kept us apprised of things as they went...all for a reasonable price. 
Note: Asbestos ceiling removal is pretty intensive and to repair the ceiling after the fact is even more so. We had not planned on repainting, but in order to smooth out the corners between the ceiling and wall, the mud came down about 1 foot (vs a couple of inches).

"Cox Custom Remodeling is outstanding. James Cox is the owner and project manager and he is everything you hope a contractor will be. I cannot imagine having a better remodeling experience nor can I imagine working with a better group of professionals. I found James through Angie's List and I got estimates from a total of three contractors. The first time I called him I had to leave him a voicemail and he called me back within 10 minutes. He was professional and set up an appointment to come see my project the next day. He showed up not just on time, but a little early. He listened well, understood what I wanted and what my concerns were. He explained to me how he works, and how he estimates jobs. Initially, I had just called him about a bathroom remodel. I knew I was going to remodel my kitchen next, but I wanted to just start with my bathroom. I got a good feeling about James so I asked him to look at my kitchen while he was there. I told him my ideas for my kitchen remodel. Both my bathroom and kitchen projects included completely gutting the rooms and starting from scratch. He told me that the bathroom would take about two weeks to complete and the kitchen would take about four weeks. Then I gave him a challenge and asked him if it would be possible to have both completed by the time of my daughter's high school graduation party which was less than three months away. He said it would be tight but he was confident he could do it as long as I held up my end, which included making timely decisions and getting appliances, fixtures, and tiles on site by the time they were ready to go. He emailed me a detailed estimate the following day. James estimates based on time and materials. He doesn't just give a single price that he claims he can get the project done on. The other two contractors I got bids from were professional and also claimed they could get both remodels done in my tight timeframe. One bid was lower, but there were no details included in the quote, just an overall price, the other took two weeks to get me an estimate and was higher. Once I decided to hire James’ company, things moved quickly. James advised me that the best thing I could do to ensure the project finished on time was to have all my appliances and fixtures on site before they began work and I took his advice to heart. I told him I wanted to do my own demo and painting. (I wound up not finishing either and he and his crew happily completed those jobs.) His work crew was great: Richie, Steven, and Craig. Super friendly, professional, helpful, and flexible. James’ subcontractors are all people he has worked with on many projects and have been tested and proven. He has an excellent relationship with a cabinet maker who is local, reliable, and fast. He’s also a great value and very flexible. The plumber, electrician, tile-layer, and floor refinisher were also top-notch. Every person who worked on our project was reliable, efficient, highly competent, personable, and customer-service oriented. Everyone showed up when they said they would and did what they promised. I was home during almost all the work and they were in constant motion. They started work on May 10th and were entirely done on June 13th. Amazing! They would have been done earlier had it not been for hold-ups on my end, i.e. not deciding on my cabinet layout more quickly, being a week late to pick out my countertops, not buying enough tile for my tub surround, and not doing all the painting I said I would do, not to mention the many times I changed my mind or added in something unexpected. None of my friends believed it would be finished on time and they were very impressed. James went to great lengths to make sure that they completed the work in time for our party and he surpassed his goal. Oh, and did I mention that he also came in under-budget?! How is it that a good contractor is even available so quickly when so many are entirely booked up with new construction? He was very considerate of our family’s needs and took care of many small items that weren’t part of the original scope of work. I have already hired him to do a remodel on another bathroom. James and his company deserve to be wildly successful and I give him my highest recommendation."
