"Do make sure you and your contractor understand each other and explain exactly what you need and want.  Most often
old homes will have problems with dry rot, termites, old electrical and a good contractor lets you know you have these problems and will give you an estimate of what it will cost to fix them.  My opinion is if you are going to have a job done you should not mask problems.  We were fortunate not to have had dry rot.  The bones of our house was in very good condition.  However, our electrical panel was going to need replacing.  If you have your home already open to reside or whatever you are doing the extra time and cost is worth it.

"I contacted 5 patio cover contractors that I found on Angie's List and Yelp.  And though the number of reviews for Sierra Suncreens and Patio Covers seem few, I was very impressed by the comments on each of the reviews.  I got 4 estimates and Sierra was the lowest.  But it was because of my phone conversation with owner, Dan, and the Angie's List reviews that I chose this contractor.  I gave Sierra a "down payment" check that included cost of building permit.  Sierra took care of obtaining permit and the cost was much less that estimated.  Because of this the difference was subtracted from original cost agreement.
I was very impressed with crew leader, Jesus and his entire crew.   They were very friendly and professional.  They came by in afternoon and delivered materials.  They arrived, the next morning, just before I left to play round of golf and by the time I returned home they were gone, the work and cleanup completed.  The patio cover is beautiful and looks better than I imagined.  The job included wiring for ceiling fan to be installed during cover installation.  The ceiling fan I ordered did not arrived at time of cover installation and Jesus, gave me his cell phone number and told me just to call him when fan arrived and they would find time to come by and install.  After I got the fan, I called Jesus and, good to his word, he and his crew came by and installed the ceiling fan.
I was very happy with this contractor and crew and the product that was installed at my home.  I feel that I made the best choice with Sierra Sunscreens and Patio Covers and look forward to enjoying a shaded patio for many years."

"Guys did a great job as promised.  Took advantage of a $999 special; an additional $300 for extra exterior door painting.  Approximately $1000 in paint necessary but we chose top quality paint in lieu of having Better Choice select paint.  House was power washed and some trim replaced prior to painting.  Some delays due to the high temperatures we experienced that pushed out the job a couple of times.

After searching for awhile and having more than a few companies over to see the bathroom that was to be remodeled and get an estimate, I decided on Chriswell and I’m glad I did. Richard and Amanda came over and I appreciated that they worn masks. They looked at the bathroom listened to my needs and wants, took measurements and then we sat around the kitchen. They figured out a few different possibilities for the bathroom all the time showing me how everything broke down and answering any question I had. When the day came to start the project I was met by the foreman Mat, The Contractor Dante and his assistant Merlin. They told me exactly what they where going to do and how the next couple of days where going to play out. Chriswell dose not use subcontractors so all the people working on my bathroom actually work at Chriswell. This gave me piece of mind knowing that every one was on the same page and held to Chriswell’s high standards. I was especially impressed with Dante and Merlin. Out the gate Dante made sure that I always knew what was going on and encouraged me to ask him anything if I had any questions. Which I did. Having Dante working on my bathroom being a third Generation remodeler and with his decades of experience made me even more confident that I had made the right decision. Dante added some little details which really meant a lot to me and definitely enhanced the overall look of the bathroom. Dante and Merlin where both respectful, worked hard and keep there work site tidy and clean. I could not have asked for two better workmen to do this project. Thank you Dante and Merlin for your hard work. The Bathroom looks great and our Family loves it.
