" I really can’t say a single bad thing about my irrigation installation experience. Chris came out for the quote and was very knowledgeable, professional and listened to my needs. I asked where heads would go because I was considering some hardscaping in the near future and didn’t want placement to be an issue. He actually recommended a company to me and the two companies worked with each other on my entire backyard makeover The installation crew was meticulous with adjusting the heads and I love the different styles of heads placed around the property. Chris’ communication was awesome from start to finish. The technician programmed my controller for me and the system has worked beautifully. I hydroseeded and began to see grass after just a week with a sprinkler system. The whole experience was seamless and I couldn’t be happier."

"Rogero and his team just left, and we couldn't be happier! The house and the yard look amazing! They spent the day cleaning, edging and mulching the gardens, and he explained that if we keep this maintenance up yearly in a few years weeds will be a thing of our past. We will certainly be calling Rogero again for this same service next year and the year after that (as well as any other landscaping needs that might come up). They were timely, professional, and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend R&A to anyone that is looking for fairly priced, professional landscapers that you can rely on. As a matter of fact, while at our home, 3-4 neighbors took their number - we would be so happy if our project netted more happy customers for Rogero and team. Please don't hesitate, contact them now!"

"I have worked with several sprinkler irrigation companies through the years, and I was extremely pleased with the job that Richie and Rick from Lisco recently did for me. Some companies only want to show up to turn on the system and turn it off, and getting them to do repairs is sometimes a challenge, or they have excuses why improvements cannot be made. These sprinkler repair technicians listened to me and addressed my specific areas of concern about one broken sprinkler head, one malfunctioning head, and two zones that needed some adjusting. They discovered a leak in a pipe that explained the weak performance of one zone, and also fixed that. The work that Richie and Rick from Lisco did, in combination with my recent upgrade to a stronger pump (after the last company did not properly drain it and I had to replace it after the winter), has resulted in my sprinkler system performing at its best level yet. I am very pleased. The total cost of all the repairs and replacing sprinkler heads, and the two technicians working a little over one hour was $241 which I thought was reasonable. Great job Lisco!"

"Salt Box prepared a detailed plan on paper and went over it with us in detail. We had an opportunity to ask questions and request changes. Salt Box walked us around the nursery and showed us the plants that would be used and explained why. <br /> The work was a little late in being done but no big deal. The job was completed in one day. The crew was professional and thorough. They did exactly what they said they would do. <br />"

"I've rated Hartney Greymont an overall C because the estimate they provided me for removal of 3 large oaks and stump grinding was DOUBLE what two other tree companies estimated. The two other tree companies came in at about the same price, so I don't understand how HG came up with such a high estimate. I did think that the gentleman who came out to meet me was professional and I would have probably chosen HG if it weren't for the much higher estimate. I rated HG a C overall, because of the high estimate and also the somewhat sluggish response to my initial request for an estimate, but they seemed very professional. But I believe I will select one of the other companies to do the tree work."

"I picked Nilton Freitas and his Primo Irrigation based on strong Angie's List reviews. I liked that he is mid-sized, not too small and not corporate, and also that he supports community teams. That judgment proved correct. <br /> Nilton responded the same day to my phone inquiry, came a day or two later to provide a quote, and he explained the options clearly. He was able to fit in the job a few days later. It turned out to take more time than he expected due to roots, but he did not charge more. He used top-quality components. One evening he stayed late on his own after letting his crew knock off. <br /> A few days into using the new system, we needed a couple of adjustments. Nilton came the next day, swapped a couple of spray heads and adjusted others. He also explained some details of the new control panel, and advised on best watering times and frequency.     <br /> Six weeks later, our lawn has been transformed. Much thicker and more even. <br /> It was a great experience working with Primo Irrigation and Nilton. I would strongly recommend him, without reservation. <br />"

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Mansfield, MA

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
