"It went really well. They came in immediately and sealed off the basement from the rest of the house (There's no door to the basement)). They also set up very large and powerful hepa-air-cleaning units which they kept running through the whole job and in fact until the industrial hygienist returned for post-testing after the job was completed. "Carlos was punctual and completed the job ahead of schedule. He took the extra effort to ensure the quality of his work met my satisfaction. I needed him to make a 'custom-made' corner cabinet for me. I ordered three 6 inch shallow cabinets that when pieced together would run from floor to ceiling. However, because they were to go into a corner, the backs had to be cut out. Then he had to install shelving to fit the corner while lining each shelf up with the 6 inch cabinet shelf portion. Every shelf lines up perfectly. I had the crown molding for him, but I was curious as to how he was going to finish-off the outside of the cabinet where the pieces were inset into the wall. Not to worry, Carlos manufactured some side-molding for it for a complete finished look. His craftsmanship and attention to detail is superb. He even made sure the top of this corner cabinet lined-up with the top of my existing cabinets. This is the 2nd time I've had Carlos do a job for me. He's going to do my bathroom next!"

"They were arrived at about 10 AM, the desired time as one of us is a late to bed and late riser, discussed details with me, were checked by the owner every other day, kept the place meticulously clean.  There are one extremely small spot where a bit more fill would have smoothed out the surface (where wood overlaid stucco - I inspected things carefully but missed it first time around) but the place looks excellent.  Issue is how well it will hold up. Only time will tell. 
If I asked that something be done that was not obviously in the contract, e.g., repairing the damaged stucco on one of the planters in the front of the house, I spoke to the owner and he quickly picked the best person (or brought in someone the next day) to complete the task.  I would use Star again and suggested that my neighbor consider using their services for interior painting."

"I was in constant contact with them,by phone, before  the installation. I was nervous about what I had chosen and was invited to take my time and go to the showroom to see it on a larger scale. Measuring day and day of installation the crew were prompt, very clean, very professional. Everything was covered during installation and they happily answered any questions I had.  There was a very small problem with one of the countertops fitting correctly.
