When I removed the buckled boards, I discovered: ? Many boards had NO FASTENERS AT ALL ? Where fasteners existed, spacing was up to 18 inches (industry standard is 6-8 inches) ? Failed to use manufacturer-required glue assist for 4" planks THE ABANDONMENT: After the floor buckled, we scheduled remediation a month in advance. On the scheduled day, he texted that he was at "another project north of Seattle" and would arrive late afternoon. When I confronted him with evidence of the installation failures, he: - First offered to "help make things right" - Then complained about "rude communication" when confronted with not showing up - Finally abandoned the job entirely via text: "At this point, I think it's best you hire the other guy""

"Vanderlip Construction brought our ideas and vision to a reality on a master and guest bathroom remodel in our 1961 rambler. Eric is both an organized contractor and an experienced craftsman. He is a thoughtful and very responsive communicator who we could always count on to perform the tasks he scheduled throughout our project. He brought in very skilled team of subcontractors who he made sure didn’t disrupt our home life and office work activities. Eric was generous with sharing his expertise and insights that helped us make decisions on key details. We had about an 80 percent design and selected all the tile, fixtures, and custom cabinets but Eric’s attention to detail brought it all together, especially on our counters and master bath shower. Always patient and friendly, he wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the progression and the outcomes. He’s also committed to backing up his work. I suffered a serious leg injury after the remodel and Eric kindly went the extra step to come to our house and install a new light fixture in our bedroom. He scored an A+ on both bathrooms and we made a new friend."
