"Juan was great and very knowledgeable. We contacted Juan for an estimate to repair parts of a recently installed whole house vinyl floor (planks). Juan responded immediately our contact via Angie's List. Juan was at our home within 24 hours as promised. Juan reviewed our needs and inspected the floor. He provided 2 estimates which were VERY competitive and included material. Unfortunately we were unable to hire Juan because of some money constraints on our end. But Juan's communication and experience with flooring was a definite eyeopener. I would hire Juan with confidence and without hesitation. He will definitely have my business in the future!"

"I can’t recommend Royal Oak Flooring highly enough. My wife and I met Laurie at her shop on Ventura Blvd. (suggest you make an appointment to ensure finding her there) in order to figure out whether Royal Oak could accommodate what we were trying to do. Previously we’d talked with 2 big-box stores and 2 small flooring shops but they all seemed to be trying to sell us very basic (but cheaper) installations. We wanted a floor with a thin black strip about 5” in from the wall to serve as a border. We also wanted mitered 45-degree corners rather than butted. The Royal Oak store is not large, compared to, say, Floors & Decor, but it has an overwhelming variety of samples. And Laurie is the kind of person who will make a phone call on the spot to find out if what you want is possible. She gave us several 2”x2” samples to take home and emailed us quotes for the different flooring and installations we were considering. After a few days we settled on a floor with 5” wide maple planks and the black border. We appreciated Laurie’s willingness to listen to what we wanted rather than try to sell us what she’d already done 1000 times. We realized why Laurie had the confidence to consider alternatives to the basic installation after Rafael and Abel showed up. These guys were the craftsmen we were beginning to think existed only on some other continent, the craftsmen who’d have to be flown over to the U.S. and put up in a motel while they worked on our mitered corners and our black border 5” from the wall. My wife and I are both retired engineers, so (1) we’re detail-oriented, and (2) we got a lot of time on our hands. I can be a pain in the butt, for sure, but Rafael and Abel never shied away from questions. And they asked them too. At one point I asked Rafael if there was a saying in Spanish equivalent to “The Devil is in the details.” Smiling, he assured me there was. Quite honestly, it got so that just seeing these guys in the morning was reassuring. They cleaned up everyday before leaving, made Herculean attempts to keep dust from escaping, and in general tried to reduce their impact on the normal house functioning as much as possible. We’re very happy with the new hardwood floor we got thanks to Royal Oak Flooring."

"The vision that my contractor Amir had for my home was exactly what I envisioned. My home that was run down now its a luxury home. All my neighbors are coming over and telling me how beautiful my house looks. I am beyond excited and happy about how the house looks now. My son says he feels like he is on vacation. Thank you Brent Silver Construction for making all my dreams come true."

"Byron showed up on the agreed date / time to begin the work. He first helped me move the large furniture out of the room, and then he removed the existing carpeting and pad. After that, he prepared the concrete for the new flooring. Once the concrete was ready he installed the vapor barrier and then the insulation layer... and then the floor. Byron planned the layout so the wood patterns were optimal. To save me money, he was careful not to damage the existing molding. Lastly he installed the 1/4 round shoe base to cover any space between the existing molding and the floor. The final step was the install of the T-molding at the doorways. Byron's effort to provide an excellent outcome was very much appreciated. I am extremely happy with the outcome. He's a professional that takes pride in his work."

"I wanted to share my experience with Empire Today's salesman, Gerald Lewis. He went above and beyond in providing excellent customer service and detailed measurements for our scheduled vinyl plank installation. I was impressed with his professionalism and attention to detail. Overall, I highly recommend Empire Today and Gerald Lewis for any flooring needs. I highly recommend Tomas and his Empire Today 3-man flooring demolition and installation crew for their exceptional work in installing vinyl plank flooring throughout our home. Their attention to detail and professionalism was evident throughout the entire process. We are extremely satisfied with the end result and would not hesitate to use their services again in the future."

"Job was well done. Easy to schedule; work performed within about a week after I accepted their bid. They were also flexible in rescheduling the job after some older flooring needed to be removed before they could install the new flooring material. I also appreciate the Contractor's willingness to come up with a low cost option as well as a higher-priced option, and let me decide what would best make sense for the room."

"We visited Mike at his store in Duarte. He was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He brought the 4 floor designs we selected to our home for us to decide. The entire project took only 1 day, which he told us would take 2 days. We were thrilled with the result. Instead of ripping out the tiles, Mike recommended vinyl laminate, which fits under our doors and did not require trimming out the doors or removing the side trims. I like Mike’s honesty, friendliness, and professionalism. He even accepted Zelle payment. Overall, it was money well spent and I’m glad he gave us options which we never even thought of. I’ll look for him again next time we have another flooring project. Thank you Mike!"

"Everything went well, the floor looks great!"
