"After going through 3 other pool service companies, I stumbled upon Will with Upkeep Pools and he immediately came over to access my pool and started maintaining it along with my spa. That was close to 2 years ago and I have referred him to 3 of my friends. He does an amazing job, my pool has never looked better."

"Called about leak Sunday morning. Plumber came out Monday, determined it needed replacement and notified Choice, who approved claim and permitted plumber to order new water heater. Thursday new water heater was installed. Was kept updated every day by both Choice and the plumber. Workers left my garage clean and I have hot water. Very satisfied and have recommended Choice Home Warranty on the Nextdoor app."

"I had discussed putting in a patio kitchen and wanted a higher rated electrical service for that purpose. Lennie pointed out that it would require rewiring that circuit and would be cost prohibitive given the need I expressed. He convinced me that the service I already had would work beautifully as long as I used the small appliances one at a time. Since there is no husband or children to trip the circuit breaker in another part of the house while I'm cooking, it would be OK. I cook on the patio during the summer heat and have had no problems to date. You have to love a professional who will save you money!"

"They came out drained the pool 1 day and the next day they came out early acid washed the pool and replaced about 20 tiles. My pool has never looked better since I moved in 8 years ago. I use them for my pool service now and they have done a great job over the past few months. They also fixed my fence gate for free they said it was a safety issue and just fixed the latch. they said because the pool tech did it in less than 20 min there was no charge."

"Dallas came to give us an estimate and preview the work. He helped us pick a color and made recommendations on the colors that would work best for the colors of our home. Nick and James came out to do the work exactly on schedule. They completed the work in a day. We had them apply additional coats of stain and texturing until we were happy with the outcome. They did this without question and stayed late into the afternoon until we were satisfied. A couple of days later the sidewalk still looked a little light to us and they came out the next day and applied additional coats until we were happy.
This was a superb experience. They did excellent work and were a dream to work with. They really bent over backwards to make us happy with the job and I can't recommend them highly enough. If I ever have another job like this or anyone is looking for a recommendation I will recommend Environmental Management in a second."

FAQs for swimming pool heaters installation and replacement projects in Marana, AZ

Yes, you can add a heater to an existing pool. A pro can retrofit a heater to nearly any in-ground or above-ground pool. Adding a heater allows you to start the swim season earlier, finish it later, and maintain a steady water temperature in between. Many owners schedule the job during a larger pool upgrade, but it also works as a standalone project. Professional installation ties the new unit into the existing pump and plumbing for safe, efficient operation.

Most owners switch the heater on a day or two before they plan to swim, then shut it down afterward. Reaching the target temperature can take 24 to 72 hours, depending on pool size and outdoor conditions. Using a cover while the heater is off helps hold the heat and keeps energy costs in check.

Pool heaters can freeze if left exposed to extreme conditions. Freezing can damage internal heater components, potentially leading to costly pool repairs. Cycling water, covering the heater, and regular maintenance help prevent freezing. Sealing or winterizing your heater also protects it during the season—this involves draining water from the heater and its components.

Pool heaters operate with lifespans spanning from seven to 30 years. Gas and propane models last seven to 12 years, while electric and solar heaters perform efficiently for up to 30 years. Consistent professional maintenance and routine inspections extend the heater’s life and improve its performance, ensuring a safe and reliable heating system for your pool.

Before hiring a pool heater installation contractor, conduct thorough research by reviewing online feedback and gathering recommendations from trusted sources. Contact multiple professionals to discuss pricing, request references, and understand the complete installation process. This careful evaluation ensures you select a qualified contractor who delivers high-quality service and a successful installation.
