"My experience with C Stromberg Services has been excellent! I couldn’t have asked for better service! Chris did a great job of replacing damaged moulding and doorways inside my home. He was meticulous in his work and the finished product is beautiful! Chris and Tasha also did gutter cleaning, debris removal and yard cleaning for me. They are very hard workers, true professionals and very conscientious about their work. They were very dependable throughout the entire project always letting me know when they would be there and keeping me updated if they needed to rearrange their schedule. Both Chris and Tasha are very pleasant and it has been a joy to have them around my home. I highly recommend C Stromberg Services for any projects you may have."

"Called about leak Sunday morning. Plumber came out Monday, determined it needed replacement and notified Choice, who approved claim and permitted plumber to order new water heater. Thursday new water heater was installed. Was kept updated every day by both Choice and the plumber. Workers left my garage clean and I have hot water. Very satisfied and have recommended Choice Home Warranty on the Nextdoor app."

"The technician did an excellent job. It did take a while to get the repair finished, but that was due to Bertazzoni delivering the parts. I have had multiple problems with this particular appliance. My range now works better than it did when new, but I have a feeling that even if I have continuing problems with it, American Home Shield will just repair rather than replace due to the cost of the range. By the way, I'm not exactly sure of the date of the repair."

"Finally - a service technician who is competent, does what he says he's going to do and charges a fair price for it! I had been looking for someone to fix our jacuzzi bath tub for awhile and had had no luck finding someone through Jacuzzi, so I checked out Angie's List and found House of Spas.  Based on the reviews, I gave them a call.  Troy got back to me promptly; we set up an appointment; he came when he said he would and determined that we needed a new pump.  He told me that he would order one and then call me when it came in, and left without asking for any payment.   After a week or so -- I don't remember exactly how long but it was what you would expect in terms of getting a new part -- he called to tell me the pump was in and we set up the installation appointment.  He returned when he said he would with another technician, they installed the pump, and the jacuzzi has been working fine ever since. Troy charged me $400 for the pump, $95 for the initial service call and $100 for the labor to install the pump/check for leaks, etc., all of which seemed fair to me, especially considering the distance he traveled to do the work.  He accepted a 10% Angie's List coupon, so that brought the total down to $535.50, with a 1 year warranty on parts and labor. I would definitely recommend House of Spas."

"I am extremely pleased with the entire process of working with Ray Limoges (the owner). From the initial contact through to the final completion I can't think of any aspect of the job that I wasn't happy with. He was prompt with his quote, in fact I believe I received it the next day complete with a very thorough contract that was written in english, not lawyerese. His contract spelled out everything from construction details to payment schedules which I found refreshing and helped him stand out in my eyes from the other contractors I had quote. I  was pleased to watch construction progress and everything in the contract  was followed to a "T".  No shortcuts. His work crew was great to work with as well and they were careful around my property and even managed to keep the tractor mostly in the areas where the walkway was being installed. I really appreciated this as I am a bit of a lawn guy and my lawn was not impacted at all by this installation. In fact if you were to look at it the day they finished it you'd think that it had been there for years. They broke a couple of irrigation lines (not unexpected) and my electric dog fence but they properly repaired everything before the job was completed without me needing to nag them. The end product is beautiful and I would highly recommend them."

FAQs for swimming pool heaters installation and replacement projects in Providence, RI

Yes, you can add a heater to an existing pool. A pro can retrofit a heater to nearly any in-ground or above-ground pool. Adding a heater allows you to start the swim season earlier, finish it later, and maintain a steady water temperature in between. Many owners schedule the job during a larger pool upgrade, but it also works as a standalone project. Professional installation ties the new unit into the existing pump and plumbing for safe, efficient operation.

Most owners switch the heater on a day or two before they plan to swim, then shut it down afterward. Reaching the target temperature can take 24 to 72 hours, depending on pool size and outdoor conditions. Using a cover while the heater is off helps hold the heat and keeps energy costs in check.

Pool heaters can freeze if left exposed to extreme conditions. Freezing can damage internal heater components, potentially leading to costly pool repairs. Cycling water, covering the heater, and regular maintenance help prevent freezing. Sealing or winterizing your heater also protects it during the season—this involves draining water from the heater and its components.

Pool heaters operate with lifespans spanning from seven to 30 years. Gas and propane models last seven to 12 years, while electric and solar heaters perform efficiently for up to 30 years. Consistent professional maintenance and routine inspections extend the heater’s life and improve its performance, ensuring a safe and reliable heating system for your pool.

Before hiring a pool heater installation contractor, conduct thorough research by reviewing online feedback and gathering recommendations from trusted sources. Contact multiple professionals to discuss pricing, request references, and understand the complete installation process. This careful evaluation ensures you select a qualified contractor who delivers high-quality service and a successful installation.
