"I normally do not do reviews.  But, I am hoping to save someone else the trouble that I have gone through.  I should have known by my first conversation with Appliance Zen, that it was not going to be a good experience.  Weird from the beginning,  rambling on but some incident that had just happened to him.  Anyway, I scheduled them to come out and look at my dishwasher that had not been cleaning my dishes.  They come out and tell me I need new spraying arms, they are clogged up.  Ok, ordered new sprayers and they arrived a week later.  Had to call to see if they had come in yet and reschedule to come out to install the new sprayers.  One week later, dishwasher not cleaning dishes again.  Call them to come back out because they do warranty their work.  They came out again to tell me the pipe is clogged and they need to run a "special" cleaner through the dishwasher to clean it out.  Over one week later special cleaner finally arrives. (This special cleaner can actually be found at Wal-Mart!!  Major disappointment.)  Still not cleaning my dishes.  Called to come back out.  Sprayer arms are clogged again??  Not sure how this happened as I had only been able to use my dishwasher one time.  They said it was a manufacture issue and they would contact them to send new ones again.  They said it would take 10 days with the holidays.  Still waiting for them to arrive.  It has been over 6 weeks just trying to get my dishwasher working!

Update:  I really appreciate their response to my review.  It has just been such a long drawn out process.  I truly appreciate them ordering a new handle for my microwave.  That was above and beyond and it means a lot.  Looking forward to my dishwasher working soon!

Update #2:  My dishwasher has been fixed!  They were able to come out again and remove some broken pieces of dishes that had somehow managed to find their way into the sprayer arms.  Very thankful for the new microwave handle.  That was a very nice gesture. "

"Choice was fast, efficient, and kept me posted on the progress of the claim. Although the water leak issue was discovered on a Friday, they had a plumber there to investigate by Saturday morning. When it was determined that the 20+ year old heater needed to be replaced, the replacement ordered, on-site, and installed by Wednesday morning. I am glad that we opted for the Choice Ultimate plan as other than the initial $65 service fee, all but one $50 ancillary expense was covered."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
