My one caveat is that the salesperson clearly stated that the work would be done by a local contractor, which was, I guess, technically true, since it looks like a local contractor subcontracted to a group of men (Polish or Russian) who drove up from Chicago and did the work. I was led to believe it would be done by local workers so that was a bit off-putting"

I called Jim in a panic.  I explained that the crew from a tree service  just left our house, having cut through our chain link fence in two places to remove three small weed trees from our yard.  The problem was, that fence separates our yard from our neighbors' yard -- and their two dogs, who would be running around the yard in about six hours. 

I desperately wanted that fence fixed before they got home.  I told Jim my story, and he promptly called one of his project managers, who left a job on the other side of town to come over and fix our fence.  I couldn't have asked for better work or a nicer guy to do the repairs.  "

"He helped us to determine that with our washer being as old as it was and the cost and time to determine what needed to be done, another visit with tools and parts it would probably be a better idea to replace it at the age it was than spend the same amount of money repairing it. Was a good answer. We replaced the washer. It was over 12 years old and had much use over those years. However one idea on this website is for those that did NOT use the repair service found, it would be nice to submit an experience of why and what happened in lieu of hiring the service professional. "I hired this company to do many projects in my home. I had the old kitchen counter top removed and replaced it with a new one I ordered. A new kitchen faucet was installed as well as tile backsplash. In the 2 bathrooms he replaced the lightning fixtures and tiled the floors. In the master bath, he installed a solid surface shower unit and new shower head. He also replace the mirror in the master bath. In the front entry, he laid a tile floor. A few months later I hired this company again to replace two ceiling fans."
