"I HAVE A VERY OLD DRYER FROM 1975. I HAVE BEEN TOLD FROM OTHER "SO-CALLED" GREAT REPAIR COMPANIES THAT THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO FIX IT BECAUSE IT IS TOO OLD AND THOSE PARTS ARE NOT MADE ANYMORE. While my total cost for the repair was $80 which included the $35 diagnostic fee, the lowest other price quote was over $400. I am very pleased with this new type of appliance repair. "The guy that came out was nice but really didn’t do a great job of troubleshooting. He said it was a pressure sensor problem and that the whole control board needed to be replaced. He called and gave his shop and they gave me a price of over 350 dollars. I told him no way I’m gonna pay that since it was more than the machine is worth. He then offered that I call the manufacturer to see if they could help which I did. The manufacturer sent their own repair man and that guy just pretty much reset the computer and now my machine works well. I should have just called the manufacturer first. I had to pay the 80 dollar service call to Affordable Appliance for them just to diagnose it. I was charged the 80 at first and the owner Richie contacted me and was very helpful in making my situation right. He refunded me the charge for the service call and offered his business again if I want it in the future. This was a great way to show that he cares about his customers and based by that action, I will recommend him for future jobs."

"My refrigerator died and I called Jimmy as he came up as local and highly rated in my google search. He said he was super busy but was able to squeeze me in. He came as promised and after checking the board and compressor told me what part needed to be replaced and what he would have to charge me to replace it but that I could probably do it myself for less as it only required 1 screw to remove and a couple of connectors to unplug to take out the part. I got the part, switched it out in 2 minutes and I was back in business. The flat rate charge for the visit ended up saving me hundreds and the need to go buy a new refrigerator. He was extremely pleasant to deal with and, above all, upfront and honest which is hard to find in his line of work.I couldn't be more enthusiastic in my endorsement of his work."

"Al was great. He came the same day I called and had my oven fixed in less than an hour (including adding a new igniter). He was friendly and professional and fair. I would hire Al for all my appliance repair needs. Additionally, it's nice to be supporting a minority owned business...You can have faith that calling Al is a wise decision."

"When I called Christopher he responded very positively, thanked me for calling, and said that he could come to my house at about 1 pm on the same day. He later called to say he had to change the time to somewhere between 2 and 3 pm. At about 2:30 he called to let me know that he was on his way. He arrived at my house at about 2:45 with his tool bag in hand. Chris was very friendly and upbeat. He went straight to work; pulled the back plates off the refrigerator. After a few minutes he said, "Well I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that the compressor is failing and will probably last only a few more days. The good news is, since it would cost over $400.00 to put a replacement compressor in this unit, you really should be looking at buying a brand new refrigerator. In the long run this will actually be more economically sound than fixing your old one." Chis then went to explain  how current refrigerators are much more efficient than the older models. He even went to far as to go online on his smartphone to try to price refrigerators similar to my old one. He was very thorough and offered options available at used and new outlets. <br /> He let me know that the price for his service call  was $60.00 and that it is about half what other appliance repair shops charge to come to your home.  I was pleased to pay the price for his expertise, honesty, and good advice.  <br /> The main take away is that Chris Gallagher is honest, professional, experienced and, I believe, one who can be trusted to have his customers' best interests at heart. I recommend him enthusiastically. <br />"
