"The guy that came out was nice but really didn’t do a great job of troubleshooting. He said it was a pressure sensor problem and that the whole control board needed to be replaced. He called and gave his shop and they gave me a price of over 350 dollars. I told him no way I’m gonna pay that since it was more than the machine is worth. He then offered that I call the manufacturer to see if they could help which I did. The manufacturer sent their own repair man and that guy just pretty much reset the computer and now my machine works well. I should have just called the manufacturer first. I had to pay the 80 dollar service call to Affordable Appliance for them just to diagnose it. I was charged the 80 at first and the owner Richie contacted me and was very helpful in making my situation right. He refunded me the charge for the service call and offered his business again if I want it in the future. This was a great way to show that he cares about his customers and based by that action, I will recommend him for future jobs."

"This guys are consummate professionals and I cannot recommend them more highly. They are terrific. Although my top freezer was still functioning adequately, my main fridge component was not cooling almost at all. I called multiple appliance repair companies seeking estimates. Scott, from Appliance works, was one of the few who actually called me back, and he called me back promptly. He and his colleague came over with in 24 hours and made the repair. The rate that they charged, including parts and service, was half of what another service provider estimated. On top of the great service and fair price, they are really nice guys! Hire them!!"

"Refrigerator had stopped cooling the refrigerator compartment - running constantly and freezer section was fine. I called Same Day Service. They explained how there service calls worked and set a window when they would arrive (true to the name, later that day). Service tech and an apprentice arrived right on schedule. Quickly determined that the defrost control was shot. He had one on the truck. It was quickly replaced. He then instructed me that the freezer needed to be completely defrosted over 24 hours before the refrigerator could be turned back on. Waited until the defrost was complete and it is running great now. I also want to say that this guy was an amazing teacher. Watching him instruct the apprentice in how to do the job and make sure that it was done correctly was enlightening. Both were extremely professional. I will be calling Same Day Service for all my future appliance repair jobs."

"Repairman (Justin) was very agreeable, courteous and punctual.  There was a minor problem with gas leakage which could not be found without practically dismantling the whole stove, but he did use a soapy solution to find the leak and repair it.  It's so nice to have the stove working again.  The problem began when, not knowing my own strength, I turned a knob so hard that it broke off in my hands and flames started shooting for the ceiling.  Luckily one of my neighbors came and was able to move the stove out and turn off the gas and electric. <br /> I was rather surprised to find only Mr. Appliance and one other firm in my area worked on Thermador stoves because they're a high-end product (?).  Justin arrived promptly when called, determined the problem, and said he would be back as soon as the needed part was available.  <br /> Come to find out the gas was leaking from inside the cook top, which necessitated the dismantling and reassembling of practically the whole stove.  When the owner was alerted to the problem, he was wanted to "make good" for the problem and insisted I accept a check from him.  Seldom, if ever, does that happen with major corporations. <br /> I'd have no hesitation hiring Mr. Appliance again should another large appliance break down (knock wood it doesn't happen).  Professional, polite, prompt, and good as their word, that's what I'd say. <br /> <br />"
