"I received prompt next day service which was cruical in that this was a home inspection repair. David was friendly and professional. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and order the parts on the spot. Great company. Would highly recommend to others with appliance issues."

"I was beyond happy with the service provided. The appointment was a little late but there was no doubt that Mr. Bill Evans was going to figure out what was going on when he got there. He jumped right in and diagnosed the problem while explaining everything to me. He was committed to getting the fridge up and running again if he could and he did. I could not have been happier. I will definitely call him again if I need any appliance repair or maintenance."

"This pro provided useful information via a virtual (online) video consultation. Since this service does not send technicians to the home, they did not do the actual work. I am considering whether to order parts and try to complete the repair myself or under their virtual direction."

"I reached out to Wooten 3-4 times over a week—left phone/vxmail messages and messages through Angies List app. Never received a call back or reply. I called Bray & Scarff (all my appliances are from them) and spoke to their service dept the same day; received a repair appointment for the following week. They called me 2-days before appt and again on the morning of."

"For several months I had several minor issues with three kitchen appliances. When the oven was no longer functional, I finally called a professional. Turned out the oven was working, but had been set to a Timed Cook feature (kids!). One of the timer/clock set arrows was also not working. To correct that problem would require an extensive (+$400) board; he gave me the option of replacing it or using a workaround method.  <br /> He adjusted the oven door (it didn't close tightly), added some missing screws, and also adjusted the wine cooler door (it didn't seal well and the light came on frequently). He also took the time to show me how to perform some basic (although highly overdue) maintenance. He repaired a kickplate on the wine cooler that had been falling off for the entire year I owned it. He checked the water line to the ice maker and found it off -- contractors must have turned it off during a bathroom remodel several months earlier. <br /> The job did not require additional parts, or a second appointment, or a large payment! The appliances are in better shape than they were when I bought the house a year ago; I can't believe I waited so long to call. Reid was great with the "help" my big dog and curious cat provided to boot. HUGE THANKS!!! <br />"

"After several repairs over a couple of years we decided to replace our 14 year old central AC system with a new heat pump system. We got quotes from 3 companies, and decided to go with B.A.R. Appliances AC LLC based on past experience, extended warranty, and very competitive costs. The entire installation was efficient and professional. I found Henry and his staff a pleasure to deal with. They left me with a nice clean system and I would highly recommend B.A.R. Appliances AC LLC for any HVAC work. It's nice to have quality work done in this day and age!"

"I had a question about microwave repair. He answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately new parts are no longer available for model in question. He gave me part # if I wanted to call around for a used part somewhere. Got lots of good info."

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Maryland-Line, MD

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
