"For several months I had several minor issues with three kitchen appliances. When the oven was no longer functional, I finally called a professional. Turned out the oven was working, but had been set to a Timed Cook feature (kids!). One of the timer/clock set arrows was also not working. To correct that problem would require an extensive (+$400) board; he gave me the option of replacing it or using a workaround method.  <br /> He adjusted the oven door (it didn't close tightly), added some missing screws, and also adjusted the wine cooler door (it didn't seal well and the light came on frequently). He also took the time to show me how to perform some basic (although highly overdue) maintenance. He repaired a kickplate on the wine cooler that had been falling off for the entire year I owned it. He checked the water line to the ice maker and found it off -- contractors must have turned it off during a bathroom remodel several months earlier. <br /> The job did not require additional parts, or a second appointment, or a large payment! The appliances are in better shape than they were when I bought the house a year ago; I can't believe I waited so long to call.
