"Michael was great to work with. He installed double layer trim to windows and doors in my home and also installed solid wood baseboards and a wood cap for a pony wall. He responded quickly to my inquiry, provided a quote and reasonable timeline for my project. Once the project was confirmed he kept in touch and coordinated with my work schedule for work. He was very quick with communication and ensured I was updated on my project. The quality of his work was quite good and he readily and willingly reworked multiple areas to meet my desired look for the project. There was some miscommunication on scope of work and Michael was reasonable on the quote adjustment. He did few things extra which was very appreciated as well. I would happily work with Michael again or recommend him to another."

"Steve and one of his guys, Jordan, came out on New Year's Eve day and installed our new hearth and mantle for our fireplace. They did a beautiful job! They also fixed some kitchen cabinets and checked our gutters. They were professional, and fun, and they did a great job! They even cleaned up after themselves! We will definitely call Steve again for our general contractor/handyman needs."

"Dave called me schedule the appointment. He removed the old opener and installed the new opener. When he was finished, he took the time to program the keypad and remotes, showed me how to use them, explained the features on the new door opener, and showed me where the information was in the new manual. Asked me to call him if I had any questions on using my new opener. Would have given him an A+ if I could."

"Yesterday evening my garage door spring broke. This morning I called Anderson's Door Company right after they opened at 8am. They answered promptly and because my house is very close to their shop he offered to schedule me as the first appointment of the day. It's 10am and my garage door is all fixed! Scott showed up promptly. He suggested that I replace both springs even though only one had broken. I agreed and he was able to do the job entirely with parts on hand. After the replacement I asked him to walk me through what work he did and explain how to maintain the door in the future. He was really friendly and professional."

"We bought the deal for patio sliding door replacement  and couldn't be happier. Everything went smoothly from start to end, no surprises.  Bill showed up on time, installed the new door with great attention to detail, addressed all my concerned and left the spot in ideal condition. It's been almost 6 moths since we have the new door and we love it.  Planning to hire them again for entry door replacement.  Would definitely recommend Ethos to anyone looking for a door installation/replacement.

FAQs for storm door installation projects in Marysville, WA

For mobile homes, look for a lightweight storm door designed specifically for manufactured housing. A slimmer frame eases installation and reduces added stress on the doorway, while removable glass or screen panels allow you to switch between airflow and complete protection in minutes. The result is solid weather defense without unnecessary weight and a door that remains easy to operate season after season.

A well-installed and well-maintained storm door can add modest value by improving curb appeal, increasing security, and reducing energy loss. If the door is faded, dented, or hanging loosely, those benefits disappear—and may even harm first impressions. Professional installation ensures the door seal is correctly aligned and keeps the hardware in place, allowing the upgrade to deliver both visual and practical benefits that buyers notice.

Most storm doors last 25 years, and high-end models, when properly cared for, can reach 50 years. Lifespan depends on the frame material, glass quality, and the amount of punishment the door receives from wind, rain, or sun. Regular cleaning, fresh weatherstripping, and prompt repairs keep hinges tight and glass secure, helping the door reach its maximum lifespan.

Allow three to five hours to set a standard pre-hung storm door if the opening is in good condition. If you need to widen the frame or repair wood rot, expect the job to take a whole day to complete. A seasoned installer can complete the job faster and ensure the door sits square, seals tightly, and operates smoothly, saving time that often outweighs the DIY time commitment.

Most single exterior doorways can accommodate a storm door, provided the frame dimensions match those of the new unit. Patio and sliding glass doors are the main exceptions because their tracks won’t support the extra door. If you’re unsure about clearances or hinge placement, consider bringing in a door installer to measure the opening and recommend any necessary adjustments for a secure fit.
