"After contacting Neale a few times by phone, I decided it was best to contact him by email.  Once I emailed, I got an immediate response and a date was set for them to come out and fix my front railing just a few days later.  They arrived within the window indicated and completed the work beautifully within a few hours.  They were extremely pleasant and professional.  The work was fantastic.  Neale provided the best price by far out of the several I received estimates from.  I would highly recommend Baltimore Wrought Fence and Rail."

"Tracey is a great front person to work with for estimating and scheduling the work. She was reachable, responsive and caring. Projects involved 1) opening an entry from hallway to bathroom and installing a door (that was a major project), 2) converting a walking closet to a den including patching up the walls and the carpet, and adding a power outlet, 3) installing a ceiling light fixture in family room, 4) fixing a couple of bedroom doors, 5) painting a few areas, and 6) installing a dimmer switch. Hugo, Tuan and Jeremy showed up on time. They were highly professional, personable, caring, and very pleasant to work with. They worked on the above projects at the same time and after one and a half days, the place looked great. They cleaned up afterwards and made sure all issues are addressed. We were very happy with the outcome and will definitely hire them again."

"It was a great experience. John came out to view the patio and discuss with us the work we wanted done-- building a fence to close the back of the patio, and a small fence to hide the a/c unit, and level the brick patio. We then received an email with the estimate from Lindsay a day or two later which included the fence work and two options for the patio (re-using existing pavers or using all new pavers), and the costs for both.
We decided to reuse the existing pavers. They acquired the appropriate permits needed from the city of Rockville and got to work. The job took a little bit longer than expected, but Lindsay kept us up to date on the progress as the project moved along. There were some additional delays on account of rain, but as soon as it was dry, they were back to it.
JLI was also open and responsive to questions we had throughout, as well as correcting a few things we noticed during the process.
Overall, the fencing and the patio look great, and the open communication/responsiveness between us and JLI is something that was very valuable.

"Overall, it went exceptionally well. They removed the old fixtures, walls and floors the first day and then installed the fixtures (bathtub with shower hardware, grab bar, toiler, and vanity, wall tile, floor tile, and lights, hardware, etc. They even came back a few weeks later to put the vanity top on since it was a special order. They even installed a combo light, fan and heat fixture in the ceiling of the bathroom and gave me switches for all of those separately. Then they painted the walls.

As for the kitchen, they removed the old stove and D/W, then the old counter top. They built up the floor where needed because of a poor job done by a previous re-tiling of the floor and raised the cupboards by adding wood to the top to hold the granite. Rene got the wood and did a fabulous job matching the color of the old cabinets. Then the counter top was installed. The men then came to put up the wall tile, install the new stove and D/W. It took about four or five days to complete the work. They did their best to minimize the disruption.  They always cleaned up each evening after the work was done. They swept the front porch, removed all the packing materials and swept up where they had worked.

They did encounter some surprises along the way that they couldn't have know about beforehand. There were no studs in the long wall where the bathtub went so they were unable to install the grab bar. An electrical outlet had to be raised to accommodate the taller vanity I chose and they found that the wall next to where the vanity should go was not built straight! In other words, the angle was not 90 degrees. Rene did some very clever work on the back wall to allow the vanity to look straight. It was brilliant."

"Fence Deck Tech installed 180 ft of cedar board-on-board 6 ft privacy fence in my yard. The work was completed with the highest regard for workmanship and in a tamely manner. The crew was professional and even went as far as helping us track down my wife's shitzu. My house is now the envy of the neighborhood. I would highly recommend Fence Deck Tech to anyone that want any type of home improvement. Thanks for the job well done"

FAQs for wrought iron fence installation projects in Mayo, MD

Galvanizing is the best way to keep rain from eating away at your wrought iron fence. The process coats each bar in a thin layer of zinc, sealing out moisture and blocking rust. Most panels come pre-galvanized, but you’ll still want to wash and repaint every few years to keep that shield intact.

Skipping galvanization may save a few dollars up front, yet you’ll spend far more later repairing corrosion or replacing sections outright.

Expect to pay more for wrought iron than for wood at the outset, but iron wins the long game. A standard wood fence runs $1,700 to $3,900, yet you’ll sand, stain, and eventually replace it. Wrought iron may double that initial tab, but it can last 50 to 100 years with a quick paint job every few seasons. Factor in fewer repairs and less upkeep, and iron often edges out wood on lifetime cost.

Hiring a pro to paint wrought iron runs $8 to $10 per linear foot, a price that covers careful prep, rust removal, and high-grade paint for long-term protection. DIY-ers can trim that labor bill, but you’ll need quality brushes, rust-inhibiting primer, and time to apply multiple thin coats. Skimp on prep or materials, and the finish will peel sooner, forcing you back to square one.

A well-maintained wrought iron fence easily lasts 50 to 100 years. Plan to wash it annually and sand-and-repaint every two to three years to keep rust from gaining a foothold. If you spot flakes or pitting early, touch-up paint stops corrosion in its tracks. When in doubt, a local fence pro can walk you through a maintenance schedule tailored to your climate.

Homeowners choose wrought iron fencing because it delivers exceptional security and a timeless aesthetic. This fence offers robust protection that deters intruders while providing a classic look that elevates property curb appeal.

Its construction from high-grade materials ensures lasting durability and reduces maintenance needs. The design also enhances home value and offers consistent strength and elegance.

Wrought iron fencing is available exclusively through certified local fence installation companies and reputable specialized suppliers. This source guarantees high-quality materials and professional installation that adhere to strict performance standards.

Homeowners will find that these trusted providers deliver materials backed by quality control and expert support, ensuring an investment that meets both durability and aesthetic expectations.
