"Scott and Jeremy came to install a new toilet and inspect/correct bathroom faucets. On my first visit to inspect my faucets, Scott asked if I needed any other plumbing inspected. I mentioned that I had a friend install a new toilet wax ring but my friend did not have the ability to trim the flange. Scott checked out the toilet, and noticed it was quite wobbly, and told me that this may further damage the flange or influence the slab integrity. We discussed options/costs of possible repairs or just installing a new toilet. I requested a new toilet. We scheduled a date to complete both jobs. Scott and Jeremy arrived promptly, worked professionally and were great to work with. I will "definitely" use this company, and these two plumbers in future! Thank you for a job well done!!!"

"We met Chris and Caleb with an inch of water on the floor and a lot of frustration. They first got the 1yr old sump running again to drain the water down. Then the diagnosed the issue with the failed pump and replaced it quickly for approx $500. We discussed the backup system at the time but I honestly couldn't impulse that much and I wanted to review options. Waited 5 weeks and reviewed other options only to came back to the professional solution offered. Also realized the quote (under $2K) was actually very reasonable for the dual battery complete backup we had installed .. more of an investment than a bandage."

"The job was clean, timely, and efficient.  I was glad to find a local small business to send the work to.  I would recommend them again for sure.  My only regret is that we waited 5 years to call them!  I can't believe how much difference having a water softner makes!  
I also have to say that I had had several estimates done the year before and their cost was right in the middle or on less expensive end of all the estimates - not so cheap that you wondered about the quality of the work that would be done or the quality of the softner that would be installed, but not so expensive that you thought you were getting taken advantage of.  The price was exactly right where I was hoping it would be.

"They were very professional and did a great job. They even had a hand held vacuum with them for clean up. There really isn't much in the way of contracting they can't do. We have a bid from them for deck repair and installing a new fence. I highly recommend them and will use their services again."

"Promptness was my major complaint. Pennington would say he would make it by the weekend, for example, to pick up the tub, and never show or call. It took many calls and reminders before connections were made. This went on multiple times throughout the course of the project. On the plus side, he had a cell, and would almost always pick up when I called, so at least I could touch base. After he took the tub, he said he should have it back in about two weeks. It was probably closer to two months. But apart from that, his price was lower than anyone else's I called. And from what I can tell, he did a good job. The tub looks good -- especially considering what he started with. He had to take off a layer of paint that someone had put on the inside of the tub, and the outer surface was unfinished and rough. Although if I had it to do over again I might ask how much extra to put enamel on the outside surface as well, instead of the dull white coating that was put on. Pennington made no complaints or extra charges for taking the tub up the steps, which was a challenge. And the capper -- once they brought the tub back, his son and helper insisted on putting on the new hardware I had to hook up to the drain for no charge. Even when I couldn't find all the pieces, they went to their truck and used their own hardware to finish the job."

"As promised the week before, they arrived exactly at noon.  I had two jobs for them to do, both of which could have run several hundred dollars each.  The hose bib on the outside of the house had an old plumbing fitting which had rusted onto the faucet.  I'd had two other (non-plumber) repairmen try to remove it but they had each given up because they didn't want to break the pipes in the wall.  I thought we'd have to replace the whole hose bib, which would run well over $200.  But the Atwell plumber was able to use a Sawzall to cut the fitting off and leave the faucet threads intact.  I'm now able to attach a hose to that outside faucet for the first time in years and the cost was minimal. 
Additionally, we had a toilet that was leaking from under the base.  When I called and spoke to the owner, Jim Atwell, he mentioned that it could be anything from a broken seal to a broken flange - which could lead to many hundreds of dollars worth of repair if they had to cut down into the concrete slab to replace it.  But when they pulled the toilet out, they found that the laminate flooring we'd had put down a couple of years ago had compressed, leaving play on the bolts and causing the base seal to break.  It was an easy fix of replacing the seal and rebolting with tighter fittings.
Both of these repairs could easily have been padded to cost much more.  They not only did the repairs quickly, but for much less than I was anticipating. They were friendly and professional and I was very, very pleased with the outcome.  I will definitely be calling them for all my future plumbing needs.
