"USA Floor-Tec did an absolutley amazing job on our driveway repair and stamped concrete deck repair. They went above and beyond to make the color and pattern match the existing stamped concrete. They also meticulously repaired and resurfaced our damaged driveway. All of the guys working on the project were very respectful and professional. Taylor who was overseeing the job was wonderful to work with. He communicated with us consistanly and clearly on the progress of the job and what we could expect. Taylor took extra time and effort to make sure that everything about the job was quality work, he also insured that all construction debris was cleaned up on a daily basis. I would highly recommend Jason, Taylor and everyone at USA Floor-Tec for any job you may have."

"JCR took on this project to expand my patio that others were reluctant to take on or completely would not touch because of the abnormal layout. Although the project ran a little behind schedule, I was completely satisfied and will not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone that might be interested as the final project turned out excellent."

"This spring in Dallas was **** for rain and wind, and I was starting to lose some ties on my roof. I called Jess, because his business has been a long-term supporter of the Dallas Harlequins, and he got me set up with my insurance, and the process was on with this request: "As soon as the weather allows, gitter done" (because for weeks, you couldn't). And that he did. He started work on Friday, June 7, got nearly all of it done in one day, but was cut off by my neighbor at 7PM, because "it's 7PM" and she was adamant. I'm tremendously grateful that Jess came and finished the job Saturday morning, because we all know what the storm-pocalypse was like on Sunday, June 9. I suspect there are still neighborhoods that are recovering. I can't imagine the damage that might have been done to an unfinished roof. So thanks, Jess for getting after this and following through to gitter done! (Plus, with the radiant barrier, my electrical bill is down, and the new tiles are so much more massively durable, I can be confident in another very long run before roofing maintenance.)"

"JV Pool Plastering & Tile Job: resurfacing pool ***** I have to amend my previous review of JV Plastering & Tile. I gave them 5 stars but now I have to take a couple of stars off. While they did good work and we're happy with the results, Juan suffers from a severe inability to communicate. We awoke one morning to find our pool empty. The fellow who came to drain the pool showed up after 10 PM with no warning. Seriously, you don't walk into someone's back yard in the middle of the night, not in this day and time. I talked with Juan about better communication, especially to give us time to put the dogs up before someone comes into the yard. I thought we had come to an understanding but the post-plastering guy came barging into the yard after 7 PM with no warning. The dogs went crazy. It was a tense situation until he identified himself. We complained and were assured we would be given a time when they would arrive, but the next crew showed up at the door with no warning. At least that time they came to the front door. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Juan and his crew did a great job. We wanted a surface that was more durable than the regular plaster. Juan present several options. We chose pebbled surface with a light blue background. It's half again more expensive than the plaster surface but expected to last twice as long. Hopefully it will be cheaper in the long run. The process is a little more involved than just plaster. The pebbles and coloring were added into the mixture at the truck, two coatings were sprayed on and troweled, then the surface was washed down to reveal the pebbles. The next day they came and acid washed the surface to bring out even more pebbles. It turned out beautiful. **** We were a little concerned about some bad reviews that show up on Home Advisor. Up until about a year or so ago there were many bad reviews. Most complaining about how "Bobby" didn't do this, or "Bobby's" work was shoddy, or "Bobby" never returned calls and so on. After that time frame the reviews suddenly became excellent. Juan says that was when he and Bobby parted ways. Bobby now works for another pool company. Beware. **** Interesting point: we had three other estimates. They all meticulously measured the pool and added up all the items they would cover. Juan looked at the pool for about 10 seconds and gave us an estimate. It turn out to be about the same as the others (well, one of the others was over $1000 more). I don't know if this means Juan has so much more experience that he immediately knows what it's going to take or that the others were just playing games with the measurements in order to look more competent. **** We wanted to go with a firm that had their own plastering crew. The firm whose estimate came in $1000 more than the others subcontract their surfacing work. That seemed to me like we were paying an unneeded overhead."

"It went just fine.  This was a pretty simple, straight-forward job.
I needed someone to focus on this fairly small ($3,040) and get it done, properly and promptly.
Roger stayed right on top of it until it was done, well done."

FAQs for concrete finishing, overlays & coloring application projects in Mead, OK

With proper care, a stained concrete floor easily lasts 20 years or more. Reapply sealer every two to four years to protect against moisture, scratches, and daily wear. Routine sweeping, occasional damp mopping, and prompt repairs keep the surface looking sharp and protect the slab underneath, preserving both function and resale value.

Stained concrete can crack if the slab is exposed to extreme moisture changes, heavy impacts, or settling. Small hairline cracks are mainly cosmetic, but deeper fractures can affect the finish. Inspect the floor regularly, address moisture issues quickly, and hire a pro for timely repairs. Staying on top of maintenance prevents minor flaws from developing into larger, more costly problems.

The longevity of a concrete stain depends on the product you choose. Acid-based options chemically bond with the slab and are essentially permanent. Water-based stains sit on the surface and can be lightened, darkened, or covered with a new color at a later time. Select the stain type that aligns with your long-term design plans and your willingness to reapply the stain in the future.

You can update the color by cleaning the slab, lightly etching it, and applying a new layer of stain. Re-staining bonds to the concrete and resists peeling far better than paint. For a dramatic shift—such as moving from a dark acid stain to a lighter tone—you may need to grind the surface first. A flooring pro can advise on the best approach for your specific floor.

Stained concrete combines longevity with a modern, custom look. The finish resists heavy foot traffic, moisture, and everyday wear, so upkeep is minimal—routine sweeping and an occasional damp mop are usually enough. Because the color is inside the concrete, it won’t peel or flake like paint. Homebuyers also appreciate its sleek aesthetic and low maintenance, which can add a slight boost to your property's resale value.
