By 6am someone from Downing called to inquire about my issue and although I work in Chicago, and could not be there to meet the plumber, I was able to get this sorted by 10am. The people I spoke with were super nice, Jim the plumber was very informative and though I wasn’t expecting to have this cost, I felt the price was fair for a new pump installation. (Yay, homeownership!) I was able to pay over the phone and the whole process was quick and (relatively) painless! Will keep them in mind for any future plumbing needs! Thanks again!"

"Great thanks Technicians TONY and TYLER! This service rang ALL the bells. They were very professional and pleasant. I Had them replace three shutoff valves under the sink which were frozen and had small leaks. I asked about cheaper fixes and they advised replacing the whole valves, which was actually what I preferred. They gave a price and it was exactly what I researched as being a good, reasonable price. They were quick and exact and tested all of the valves that they replaced (hot/cold/dishwasher). I have used them in the past and have also used other plumbing services. The other plumbing services that I have used were shoddy at best and not very professional. This service is just what the doctor ordered. I will definitely use this service again. They were right on time and easy to schedule. They use the best quality parts that will last for years. "They arrived within the designated time stated. It took 20minutes to clear the drain. I was told that because I did unseat the toilet that it would cost less. The final cost was $ 420. More than originally quoted. He deducted $65. unseated from the 420 which brought it to the original 350. Then I asked for a senior discount 10%. Right ,you do the math.. should have been $250. Need I say I WARN AGAINST THIS COMPANY. Fool me once shame on you..you won't get that opportunity again. Yes I did call and complain. They refused to correct their mistake."

"I was referred to this company by a contractor working on the house next door. I requested that Associated gave me two estimates, one for the work described above (but including a replacement toilet in the main bath and without the cutoff valves, and just fixing the leaking hot water valve in the family room sink) and a second for the above but with replacing the tub and sink including a tub surround in the main bathroom. After I got the estimate, I decided to ask the contractor to remodel the main bath, and just have Associated do the work already described, including the cutoff valves so I would have a bathroom to use while the main bath was being remodeled. They came on time and got to work right away. When they got to the leaking hot water faucet in the family room they found they could not repair the 30+ year old valve, and would have to come back with a new faucet assembly. It was at this point that I discussed with them that I wanted the cutoff valves installed. They told me they could come back on Monday with the new faucet and install the cutoff valves. On Monday we spent about 20 minutes moving stuff out of the way in the utility room so they could get to the pipes. This was my fault as I misunderstood where they were going to put the valves. One guy installed the new faucet while the other started cutting the pipes. They worked together installing the valves and were done in about an hour, but when the water was turned on the hot water valve had a leak. It took almost another hour trying to get the solder to stick on the top side of the join near the ceiling and only a few inches from a wall, making it almost impossible to see. When he wrote up the bill, he DID NOT charge me for the extra time it took them to install the valve. Altogether, I have to say I would recommend this company to my friends."
