"Matt is an artist as well as being an outstanding tradesman. He turned my rather mundane vision into a real bit of "decor", even my wife was impressed and she's hard to please. Matt and his assistant Manny were professional, polite, courteous and hard working. They turned a drab 3/4 bath into a real eye pleaser. Matt and Manny functioned as a well oiled machine, they were polite, courteous and above all professional. Matt kept us informed as to the progress of the work and regularly went that extra mile to ensure the excellent quality of their work. To the question of that shower door, a "DreamLine Essence Semi-Frameless Sliding Shower Door" a really beautiful bit of work and a total pain. The instructions provided didn't match the parts provided. It was a real pain to contact the manufacturers "Help Line" and finally I was able to dig through the manufacturers web-site and come up with the updated installation instructions. After that Matt and Manny were able to confidently dig into and complete the install. We will be asking them back to do several projects that we have in our planned remodeling of our home."

"Sales people, Larry and Ruby were very helpful. Follow up call advised us that type of door ordered did not have retractable screen and assisted us in changing order to get what we want. Installer, Johnnie, pointed out useful mechanical aspects of door. <br />"

"Called company, arranged a date for carpet cleaning (at our convenience). Time of arrival was given at 9-10am. At about 8:45 we received a call informing us that the employees were running about 45 minutes late, and inquired if this was agreeable, but actually arrived about 9:30, well within estimate. (For Las Cruces this is unbelievably good!) Two men arrived, introduced themselves, walked through the house to understand what we wanted cleaned, retrieved equipment from their truck, and set to work. The entire job took about 55-60 minutes. Employees wasted no time, did not engage us in idle conversation, and were polite and careful. They explained, in brief, how the process worked (a carbonated, low-water, fast-dry application), and explained that we could safely walk in the carpet, as necessary, within an hour or two. Their truck was clean and well marked with the name and phone number(s) prominently displayed on the side (and it left no oil spots on the driveway!)"

"Andrey was my project coordinator and did a fantastic job with the design.  Anatoliy was the installer and also did a fantastic job.  All floors were thin set under backer board to ensure a perfectly level subfloor and each tile was meticulously put in place with an amazing finished product.  I have built houses in the past and have not been impressed with my tile work but this time I am sold on 5 Star for the next project.  The only con's for 5 Star was cost and time to install but those are both directly related to the quality of the finished product and based on what I got I'll happily pay a bit more and wait a bit longer for their work. <br /> <br />"

"They were awesome! Fast, efficient and completed the work perfectly! We couldn't be happier with the fabulous results! Not only does our carpet look fantastic but all the odors left behind from purchasing a bank owned property are gone! We've also used EMF for bathroom remodel...they transformed an old tired tub/shower into a beautiful walk in shower! The tile work is second to none! We'll use their service when ever we can!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Las Cruces, NM

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
