"They actually came out a couple of times because they were working on the problem. It was still under warranty and they were not an authorized dealer for the kind of air conditioner we have, so we ended up using another company to actually do the replacement of the coil. "After hearing time and time again that our old system was too small, improperly installed, and insufficiently ducted, we called Air Force One based in part on Angie's List reviews. <br /> Chester took the time to explain why our system struggled to cool our home, and what it would take to keep us comfortable. He gave us three price points for new systems and didn't push us to choose any option. We were given time to look over the options without pressure from AF1. <br /> After we chose our options, we scheduled an install date, and Air Force One worked with us on our schedules. The crew that came worked efficiently to remove our old system and install the new.  The guys were friendly and answered any questions that came up, and they seemed to enjoy what they were doing - even after spending a couple hours in a hot attic.  The old system, trash and debris was loaded up and hauled off rather than being left down on the street. They left our house and yard in the same condition as it was when they arrived. <br /> We had pretty much everything replaced - outside unit (condenser/compressor), inside coil (evaporator), furnace, and air handler. Some sections of old ducting were removed as well. Air Force One also installed two new return vents, and they installed a new return duct to pull air from one end of the house back to the air handler. They installed new drain pans and re-routed the condensate drains.  <br /> Our old system was installed in such a way that regular maintenance required climbing over the units to reach the access panels, and was sitting on top of the ceiling joists. The condensate drain pans were inadequate and the drain lines weren't sloped correctly to properly drain the moisture.  <br /> The new system is properly suspended from the roof rafters, the drain pans and lines are large enough to handle Texas humidity. Changing filters is no longer a chore, it's a simple matter of opening a small door and swapping them out - it takes less time to do than it does to read this paragraph. <br /> Air Force One also installed our new Nest thermostat and helped us get it set up on our wireless network. <br /> Our home is much more comfortable, and the cooling is more even throughout the house. We're very happy with the new system and with the quality of the work. We definitely would recommend Air Force One to our friends and neighbors. <br />"

"Contacted the company on Wednesday morning and asked to setup an appointment. I was fully expecting them to not be available until the next week. To my surprise, he offered to send a truck that afternoon. I decided to make the appointment for the following day at 8:00am. The two younger guys arrived promptly at 8:00 and got to work. Both introduced themselves and were very polite, they explained everything they were doing and the costs. I asked about other services they provide and the guys explained those to me. At no time did they try to up-sell me any services or perform unnecessary work. They even cleaned up after themselves. "I am not usually so impressed with contractors that I would be inclined to write a review, but Staggs Plumbing is an exception. The water heater installation was a challenge, as the unit sat on a platform above the dryer in a very small laundry room. Jeff and Perry did the initial install and were on time, professional, respectful, and answered all questions. And even though the area was complicated to maneuver, there was NO collateral damage sustained. As it is sometimes the case, the following day a problem was noticed (gurgling sounds). I called and they sent Matt and Juan out within an hour. After intensive investigating, they determined that the problem was with the tank itself. They replaced it without any qualms, excuses or arguments. Believe me, this was certainly a small miracle in itself. The owner, Randy also came out to assess the situation; he too was very helpful in resolving the issue. I should mention, that when Matt and Juan started working on the problem, Matt said to me, “we will do whatever it takes to make sure you are satisfied with the work”, what contractor says that, and actually is honest to their word, in my experience, none. Randy stood behind the declaration, and in the end I was completely satisfied. I also need to mention the fine customer care I received from Tiffany. She stayed on top of the situation and was always patient and respectful. Staggs Plumbing certainly did A+ work and I would highly recommend them.
