"We’ve custom-built and remodeled homes on five occasions and from that perspective I give SES a solid thumbs up. They recently completed a kitchen renovation on our apartment and we are very happy with the outcome and the price paid. Perry’s estimate was detailed and specific and allowed us to complete the project as scoped for the price quoted — a first for us. The project progressed at an acceptable pace and SES coordinated well with the subs we selected ourselves for cabinets and countertops. As is the case with all builders, there were a few glitches and some of their crew were more skilled than others. Their demo crew, cabinet installer and tile guy were first-rate, their paint guys OK and their floor guy and cleaners not very good. SES addressed concerns related to the latter two with redos and fee reductions, respectively. They inadvertently disposed of $300 worth of cabinet lighting they were supposed to reuse, but they immediately agreed to replace it at their expense. Similarly, I had asked them repeatedly to provide me with copies of receipts for parking so I could get these reimbursed by the insurance company (the project was necessitated by water damage caused by our upstairs neighbor) but they neglected to do so and as a result offered to not charge us for parking (which HAD been included as a line item in their bid). Owner Shawn was very personable and responsive, and office manager Ashley was a pleasure to deal with, keeping things moving along and ensuring punch list items and other requests were addressed in a timely fashion. Communication generally was excellent. There were no times when anyone became difficult to work with, another first for us. I would gladly use SES again and I recommend them without reservation."

"Joel and his staff are professional, timely, trustworthy and honest. From the beginning of the project Joel was flexible. He was willing to slightly negotiate the cost of the project. His cost did not deviate even though there were a few bumps in the road. He tunneled under the house to create new plumbing in areas where plumbing was moved inside. He checked all pipes with a camera service to be sure everything was in working condition. He completed the rough in and final plumbing work on time and within the allotted budget. He came to the house several times between his primary and final services to check progress on the other renovation aspects of the project. He provided estimates and payment requests in writing. After completion and payment in full I found a small gas issue. I called him and he was at the house within 20 minutes to correct the problem. He takes great pride in his work, is licensed, insured and knowledgeable. I would hire him again for any project and I have great confidence in his abilities and quality of service."

They always came to check on the quality of work and addressed any questions or challenges that came up in a timely manner. "The installers were sent through Independent Homes for installation of a Walk-in Tub (they were the best quote out of 3 other walk-in tub Companies. GEN-X Renovations is a family owned company dealing exclusively with bathroom renovations of any kind. They are installers used by companies to install their products. They are a stand alone company doing bathroom renovations directly byy contract. They are very prof, do superb work, and give excellent suggestions when needed. They DO NOT price gauge like other well known companies tend to do. They are upfront with everything you inquire about and tell you the pros and cons of any project. They sell you the very best within your price range and do not try to get you to consider a project out of your budget. They are not HIGH PRESSURE sales people. I couldn't ask for a better company to do my much needed renovations. I highly recommend them and will submit pictures when the project is completed."

"Samuel is extremely competent, timely, responsive, and transparent. Unfortunately, we had a roof installed a few years ago by a company who cut corners, and STMZ came to repair two separate leaks in the “new” roof. He documented every step of the process with photos, and explained what he was doing. (Most contractors, in my experience, do not take the time to explain the process to you!) I highly recommend his services, and if we ever need to replace the roof, STMZ will be the company we will call."

"I am so impressed with Roth Contracting! Lawrence did a complete remodel of my bathroom and it turned out even better than I imagined. He was able to enlarge the space, add beautiful custom cabinets, and the hand-tiled shower is honestly my favorite part of the whole house now. You can tell how much care and detail he puts into his work. He also built me a custom walk-in closet system and it has completely changed the way I stay organized. They did their specialty bathroom remodel (tear out tub; install new shower base, surround, fixtures, grab bars; sliding glass doors) AND also installed a pocket door kit & rerouted electrical. I asked and they delivered. It was so much better than having to hire separate contractors. A year later, everything is still great."
