"I have trees in the front of my house. 3 years ago I had a company (Rooter MD) come out and use a high pressure water system to cut the roots out. That cost me $800  The day before I had Rooter MD come out to clear the clog. They charged me $198 to "poke" a hole thru the tree roots of the main line and to clear the laundry room line. However, my laundry tub still did not drain. They told me it was the trap and it would have cost additional money to clear that. They also told me I needed to either pay another $900 for the water jet to fully clear out the tree roots in the main line or pay over $7500 to have my main line replaced or upgraded. Foolishly I let them leave without clearing the laundry tub drain. I tried clearing that drain myself but was not sucessful.
I called Chris from Clog-busters late in the day. He first tried to fit me in but had to schedule me for the next day. He sent his guys out the first thing the next day. They used an "expando-blade" rooter to cut out all of my tree-roots and the cleared the laundry tub drain. they showed me a before and after video of my main drain proving the difference. When they arrived my main drain was already backed up. The $198 I spend with RooterMD was already clogged and basically did nothing.
The video of the drain showed that it was in good shape and these guys told me that tree roots are a common problem that can be resolved by having this expando-blade rooting done every other year. They also told me that they could replace my main for under $4000 if I ever decided to do so.
The bottom line is they are an honest and competent provider that I will be happy to recommend to others and will definitely be using again.

I'm sure he could tell I knew very little about plumbing overall but dealt with me fairly and didn't talk down to me. He also told me how to prevent the problem from happening again (by wrapping the external line in heat tape and foam insulation pipe) and inspected the rest of the basement to assess the overall health of the sump pump system. "Before replacing the tub, he had to build up the walls so he could attach the new tub and walls of tub. He and his co worker both worked very hard and steady. Nice to talk to. Informative. Quality work. Both men. I liked the fact that Chad was going to stick to his first quote with us, even though neither of us knew about the need to build up the existing walls before his quote. He not only tore out existing tub, he took all waste materials with him. He is a patient man and works without complaint. Twice I had to go and exchange wrong parts I had bought, and he just kept working on other things until I returned. A few days later I heard from him with a follow up call. "We recently purchased a recently renovated century old farmhouse.
