"This is a follow up to my previous review concerning the excellent service provided by Mary Jo during her presentation and the fact their estimate was significantly lower (by 5 to 9 thousand) than the other estimates that we received. We never thought, based on their great reviews, that they would have the lowest estimate. Well the project was completed on 1-19-19. It included a complete kitchen reface; removal of our granite countertops and replaced with quartz from the Cambria marble collection; new sink and faucet install; two additional under the counter sliding drawers; two kitchen drawers replaced; and two huge laundry room cabinets installed. The carpenter handling the project was Brandon and he is a true artisan. His ability and skill level in all facets of the install were amazing; for example the perfect match of the cabinet strips, the attention to detail, the work ethic, professionalism, etc. Brandon started on Thursday and finished on schedule a week later on Friday. He has been with the company over 16 years, has done numerous installs, and all types of associated carpentry from small to huge projects. Reviews from the other competitors had complaints concerning the experience level and retention of quality craftsmen and this was our concern in undertaking a project of this size and expense. In summary, the whole experience from beginning to end was way beyond our expectations and the end product was truly outstanding. I don't know how any other company out there could match what American Wood Reface offers."

"I was referred to Paul Davis by my insurance company. I need work done on my home for mold and water damage. The initial consultation with a representative went fine. He came out, talked to me, took pictures, and made measurements and a video of my home. He then said that he sent the information over to their estimator and I would get an estimate in about 5 days. That is when the problems started happening. I received a call from them a few days later telling me that they talked to my insurance company and that the insurance company already had an “approved” quote, so they would not be doing anything for me. I informed them that I have not approved anything because the quote they have is too high and is much higher than the insurance companies’ maximum payout for this type of claim. That is why I reached out to them for a second opinion. I ended the conversation stating the fact that I am the customer, not the insurance company. I am ultimately responsible for paying the contractor, and am just being reimbursed by the insurance company, so please send me an estimate. 10 days later and I still do not have an estimate. I managed to get the estimator on the phone, and he refuses to work out an estimate. He kept ignoring what I had to say and had the nerve to say to me “You can believe what you want, but I am not going to waste my time working on an estimate for you”. I will acknowledge that I did yell at him on the phone at this point. His arrogance and refusal to listen to a potential customer was infuriating."
