"If the work that US remodeling did in my bathroom is any indication of the rest of their projects then they are going to be my only phone call on projects moving forward.  Every aspect of this project went well and we were updated when a few issues came up as soon as they ran into them.  Tony and Tony were extremely friendly and professional while at the house and made sure the site was cleaned up before they left every day.
Eli honored the online deal pricing for $1,100 each bathroom and then had very reasonable adders for the accent/trim pieces we wanted.  Also, when they ran into an issue of needing to frame up an outside window before moving forward with the job he kept the price reasonable as well on that.
We weren't sure if they forgot about us on the first day because they didn't show up until around 10:30 am but once they got there they moved right along on the project and were in and out within 4 and a half days for both units.
There were a few other aspects of the job that I feel that Tony went above and beyond and didn't try to nickel and dime us on.  He added a small piece of trim to make the edges look right and told me to just pick up the material and he would take care of it while he had all the tools with him.
When we start our next project Eli and his guys will be at the top of our list.  You won't find a more reasonable price for the value that they provide.

"I knew that Danny was the one I wanted to do my kitchen when he came to give me an estimate. He had great ideas, many options, reasonable pricing and was very personable. Whenever I called him he always returned my calls. Danny and his right hand man, Dominic, make a great team. They both took great care to do everything to perfection. Danny helped me pick out cabinets and flooring. He sent me to wonderful people to pick out granite for the countertops and tile for the backsplash. When I wasn't sure about the tile, Danny even met my husband and I on a Saturday to help us figure it out and select something that we would love. He put in extras like a pull out garbage cabinet, a wonderful cabinet that holds my heavy electric mixes and brings it up to counter level when I need to use it. I have pull out drawers and a two shelf lazy susan to maximize the space in a corner that would otherwise just be wasted. The kitchen has an opening by the sink that looks out into the family room. Danny used matching wood to the cabinets and created a molding, along with a wonderful light fixture, to create a beautiful area that enhances the kitchen. He extended the tile backsplash on either side of the opening and put granite on the bottom. Danny added an island with many pull out shelves, large and small, to give me much more storage. The island is amazing and greatly adds to the kitchen. Dominic is an expert electrician who made sure I had ample outlets and wonderful under the cabinet lighting. Danny is an expert plumber who added a water filter, as well as an instant hot that matches the faucet. Because he is such a good guy, he even fixed a problem in our bathroom that had nothing to do with the kitchen remodeling. Absolute Kitchens and Baths is a first rate company. I will absolutely use them again."

"Honest and efficient. We bought a 100 year old home and did not know what to expect, especially after having ceilings replaced. They cleaned our vents and let us know it was in great shape. Thank you, honesty!"

Our experience with JAC Electric was great!  Jason was thorough with every aspect of this whole-house rewiring job.  His desire to do the job right was evident from the first walk through as he shared what would be required to bring a 1950?s wiring up to present day code.  He was patient with us in that we needed several weeks to clear the attic to give his crew overhead access to the ceiling light wiring and other attic wiring.  He gave us a detailed quote initially and updated the quote as we added jobs to the project later.  That first meeting took longer than expected.  Jason demonstrated his respect for every client?s time by giving a quick call to inform his next appointment of the slight time adjustment.

His crew arrived on schedule with the same determined attitude we saw in Jason to do clean, meticulous work and answering any questions we had along the way.  Bob (the foreman) made suggestions that were precisely what we would have wanted but would not have known to ask for at the time.  He mounted dimming LED under-cabinet lighting in our kitchen and recessed lighting in the living room to perfection.  Allen?s attention to detail was also quite evident.  His response to my comment about my appreciation for his detail work was, ?We do good work.?  They all know Jason sets a high standard and they are determined to meet it.  Daily cleanup was the same.

The service entrance wiring also needed upgrading along with a new breaker box so we felt the timing was right to go forward with a whole-house backup generator.  Jason and Bob?s veteran standards in electrical work shined as they checked and rechecked all detailed instructions in order to get all wiring to the automatic switching box and programming for the generator 100% correct the first time.  Jason arranged to have a plumber do the natural gas hookup to the generator.  They also rented a ditcher to lay in underground conduit wiring to our garage and then rewired that.

We could not be more pleased with the transformation of this outdated house?s wiring into a home that feels brand new.  This was the house my wife grew up in so it has been quite an adventure for her to have 3 way wiring added to rooms and halls to provide a path of light from either end.  The bathroom never had a vent fan until now and we added a ceiling heat lamp with wall timer.  Wiring the ceiling fans with wall controlled switches and dimming light control throughout most rooms has added quite the sparkle to this home?s electrical system.

Blessings to JAC Electrical for a job well done.

FAQs for garage remodeling projects in Middlefield, OH

A garage apartment represents a valuable addition to your property when properly constructed according to local regulations. The potential benefits include additional living space for family members, rental income possibilities, and increased property value.

Your specific return depends on local housing market conditions, construction quality, and ongoing maintenance. Consider consulting with a real estate professional regarding potential returns in your neighborhood.

Building a garage apartment requires multiple permits, with basic residential garage permits starting at $74 in most locations. You'll need separate approvals for structural elements, electrical systems, plumbing installations, and mechanical components.

Many jurisdictions also require specific approval for accessory dwelling units. Contact your local building department early in your planning process to understand all requirements and associated costs.

Converting an existing garage into living space presents an alternative to new construction. The feasibility depends on your garage's structural condition, foundation type, and local zoning regulations. Key considerations include insulation requirements, utility connections, and moisture control. Research local codes thoroughly, as many municipalities have specific requirements for garage conversions.
