"Ross did an exceptional job cleaning our whole basement and bedroom carpets. He also cleaned an area rug for me in our kitchen. I have used him several times and I love his professionalism, prompt response, ease of scheduling and clean carpet results! <br />"

"The whole experience was very smooth, efficient, friendly, and professional. Mary and Tammy were super helpful in helping me find the right pile and density of carpet for our great room, as their showroom has so many styles of carpet and flooring to choose from. Installers were extremely careful in moving furniture and efficient in removing the old carpet & pad, as well as installing the new. I was also appreciative at receiving the Home Show discount. This is the third time I have worked with Mary, and each time has been a perfect experience. Highly recommend!"

"It went well.  The only problem is that we have two dogs and the stairwell leading upstairs still had a dog smell after the carpet dried.  There is a door at the top of the landing closing off the upstairs room and the pet smell seemed to remain at the top of the stairs.  <br />"

"Jacob, the salesman who sold us the carpet, was helpful and informative. It was not a high-pressure pitch. He worked with us as it was difficult to find the proper time to install as we were having painting and woodworking done in our home at the same time. When it did come time to install, the crew that did the installation was fantastic! They were clean, efficient, and did a great job moving around furniture to ensure the carpet was installed properly."

"I called for an appointment Friday & they were able to get me on the schedule Monday so that we could have clean carpets before moving in. Jeff did a great job & it took less time than I expected! Price was really great compared to other companies too!"

"Two installers arrived.  They were on time, professional, efficient and courteous.  Vicky Vogt was my first point of contact and showed me various samples in the showroom.  She is very efficient, knowledgeable about carpeting and answered all my questions.  I also liked the fact that the installers are employees not subcontractors.  Vogt is very professional in all aspects of what they do.  I had estimates from other companies who did not offer the same level of professionalism and competence.  I am very happy with the work they did and they will be my first choice for the next carpeting purchase I make. <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Middletown, IN

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
