"I purchased the angies list big deal for auto detailing from Quick n Brite. I was preparing to trade my jeep in and i wanted it to be very clean. We had some communication issues in the beginning but once scheduled they showed up on site at my home. They were a little late due to traffic but that is understandable. they did call to inform me they were running late.
as soon as they arrived they got to work. there was no small talk. in fact, i felt like i was inconveniencing them by talking to them to show them the areas of concern on the jeep that needed attention. Even though, thats what they were there to do.
After a couple hours the jeep was finished and on first inspection looked great. This thing was shinning like it was ready for a car show. And i will admit, it was pretty dirty. They did a great job getting the mud out of the carpet in the rear. the also did a wonderful job removing a scratch down the passenger side.
Well, the next day is when i started noticing that corners had been cut. i am not sure what they used to make the plastic shine but it was all over and made everything pretty slick. with the morning dew, i had streaks coming from everywhere they used this liquid shine. i am sure it was just a silicon based liquid. it was running off the top (hard top), the door handles, the hood latches, mirrors and so on. the black metal inside, like seat brackets, were also treated with this liquid shine. a few days later, the left over wax started to appear. I had to go back over with a microfiber cloth, the areas where the was residue was left behind to remove the wax build up. As the liquid shine started to where off, i could see it was more of a cover up. The interior plastics were still dirty. All in all it wasnt a bad job. I was just expecting more for the price. i expected it to be cleaned inside and out. not just covered up and made shinny. and since there were 2 people cleaning it, i could tell a difference. it was like each one took a side. the drivers side was shown more detail for example then the passenger side.
