"Surface Installations is fantastic! They were easy to schedule (they do smaller repair jobs in the morning, before full day jobs) and were quick at the repair. You can't even see where they seamed in the new carpet! They were very nice and trustworthy. I would absolutely recommend them and use them again. <br />"

"Stan was supposed to arrive at 9 am and at 8:59:59 my doorbell rang.  For the next 6-7 hours he was here cleaning my carpets and my couches.  Before Stan cleaned, I was considering replacing my carpet.  Now, they look brand new and my urge to replace has vanished.  We have had other carpet cleaners but Stan's work is far better than we have experienced.  In the past, our stairs started looking dingy pretty quickly.  Now, my stairs look like they were just installed...with a dog, 3 year old twin boys and a 7 year old girl that is a big deal.   <br /> <br /> Stan's pricing was almost double than another quote I was given, but we decided to use Stan because he was referred by family who had also used carpet cleaners in the past but was so impressed with Stan that he will be the only one they will use in the future.  I am very happy that we didn't go with the less expensive option (we had used them in the past)...Stan's cleaning solution, elbow grease, whatever he used, seems better and my house feels so much fresher."

"The women we worked with were great and the installer was very friendly. The owner came to do the bid & he wasn't so great. He wasn't rude--just a tad ornery.  It was a bit uncomfortable. We struggled with calls confirming the schedule a bit but it all worked out in the end. <br />"

"He was excellent at suggesting to us the color and texture we needed.  He was quick to agree that the excess could be used to do a second exterior job.  Installation went well.  After nearly 2 years the carpet has worn well, there are minor color changes in one section perhaps related to snow or glue.  There is no loosening of carpet nor edges coming up. <br />"

"Vahe with Vama Flooring was great to work with. He was so helpful with explaining our install to us, and was prompt and responsive to all of our questions. He did a great job on our install, and worked with us on our complicated schedule. They were also very reasonably priced, honest, and were willing to go above and beyond to make us happy. I would highly recommend Vama Flooring for your flooring needs. A++ Service! Also, if you are installing CORETEC Luxury Vinyl flooring these guys know the material very well and Vahe has been to seminars on how to install properly (which is hard to find because the product requires a specific install and is new to the market)."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Midway, UT

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
