"Luke came and did a scope of our property, measurements, and gave us different options for a fence. We weren't ready at that very moment so he sent updated quotes weekly to keep us posted on the fluctuations in price. Finally we were ready and Luke fit us right in and moved us up when there was a cancellation. Unfortunately we were not aware that our house was built on a very hard mineral stone making the job a whole lot harder than the norm. But Luke did not give up! He kept us posted on his progress and any delays we would come up against. The finished product, as challenging as it was to complete, was BEAUTIFUL!! "It went great. They called the night before the install to let me know they would arrive between 8:30 and 9 a.m.  They arrived at 8:45. There were 5 or 6 workers, all were very polite. The crew-leader came in and explained everything that would take place, and asked where I preferred they start. The whole process just seemed to be much less of a 'huge under-taking' than I had anticipated. They all seemed to work well together. They installed 11 windows in 8 hours. They didn't quite get finished the first day because it got dark so early. They had just a little bit of caulking to finish up.  They came out the next morning and completed the job.
Justin told me during our first conversation that I wouldn't even know they had been here when they left. He was correct, there was a good bit of dust because the new windows were much thicker than the original ones that were being removed, so they had to cut the sheet-rock back about 2 inches. They swept up and wiped all the windows down, picked up & hauled away all the old windows, any glass (yes even some broken glass), screws, sheet metal, etc.... He even said they would remove my window blinds and move any furniture necessary, but I did that myself.

"We booked construction for a realistic time frame, they asked to move it up and we agreed but they ended up overbooking and we moved back to the originally scheduled date.  To their defense we had 4 days of rain which messed up their schedule - that was the only "glitch'.
The crew of 5 arrived at 9:30am and by 8pm we had a 240 square foot shed with 3 windows, french doors, a single-entry door and a loft.  I've never seen more attention to detail or measuring - especially for a shed.  These guys acted like they were building a house.  They also added a ridge vent and put architectural shingles on the roof to match my house.
They were low-maintenance, extremely polite and cleaned the entire site before they left.
Oh and that decorative window - the level of detail one of the crew put into installing that (Wes?) was like a cosmetic surgeon.
These guys run a business that I want to support, they're local, they're smart and they are REALLY good at what they do.
By the way, our "drawing" of how we wanted the shed to look was awful and these guys took our vision and made it better than we imagined.  They didn't have a photo to go on, just words and ideas that they brought it to life.

"We contacted Hooks Remodeling & Repair to do a list of items that needed to be done around our home. Some items we had been able to do in the past but physically are unable to do any longer. The biggest item was to paint the exterior of the house, including replacing some siding boards; painting some rooms in the interior as well as all of the interior trim (and there is a lot). Other things were: fix an outside Florida room door that would not close anymore (in order for it to close we had to use the deadblock lock. Once we used that, then we couldn't get the door open); clean and restain the deck which included replacing some boards; clean all the gutters; replace two bathroom faucets;replace a kitchen faucet; replace a light above the kitchen sink; and repaint our front door.Eric was prompt in coming to the house to provide an estimate. He walked around the house with me & pointed out the areas that he felt needed extra attention. We agreed to the price which included everything he was going to need.to complete the job (except faucets & lighting). Other companies I had to get all the supplies and this was not a chore I wanted to take on. I prefer the contractor get the items they need. That way I know they have the right items. I picked out the paint colors & just gave him the brand & numbers.We were going to be out of town when they needed to start the job. He had a lockbox (like realtors) and came in & started the job while we were away. This was a big help. They moved all of the furniture & put it back when they finished. Any pictures or other items they moved were also put back (even upside down like I had them - now that is paying attention to detail) I could find no paint splatters or drops anywhere inside so either they are VERY good or do a great job of cleaning up.When they moved to the outside, they did a lot of prep work and a great paint job. Eric even made some suggestios that turned out to be great and made a big difference. The pressure wash they did on the house almost made the house look good enough not to have to paint (but we did). I think he may think twice the next time someone wants to re-paint their front door red though. ha ha. They were very punctual and Eric kept me updated as to everything he was doing & when. His workers were very polite & professional. Everyday before they left they cleaned up and put their supplies away neatly. We only had one sort of blip of the entire job and it was a misunderstanding and was taken care of promptly and professionally and it turned out just fine. I am very pleased with all of the work that Eric & his crew did. In my mind it was a lot & they got it completed right on time. I love driving into my driveway and admiring the work. I would highly recommend Hooks Remodeling & Repair to anyone needing just about anything done. If there was a little something that Eric saw that needing doing he did it. I had a problem with my disposal one day and he fixed it in about a minute. I have had other repairmen in my home over the 10 years we have lived there & I can not in sincerity say the same thing about most of them.Thank you Ericeplace"
