"Scott and his crew did a great job on our laminate flooring installation! They were on time and got the job done quickly. This was a challenging job because the floor was very uneven and Scott took the time to get everything right and leveled before installing the new flooring. Definitely recommend and would use again!"

"After choosing a unit, the assosicate helped us put the unit into our cart and asked if they could be of any other service. <br /> We have never received as much of assistance from our local Lowes store in Waynesville. We will travel the distance in the future for any major appliances. <br />"

"We needed wood flooring installed in a living room with old carpeting and that bordered our other rooms that had 20 year old wood flooring.  Francisco was very prompt in setting an appointment for a quote.   He promised to match the older floor and gave me good advice on going with unfinished wood vs. pre-finished.  We decided to go with the unfinished.  His price was great, so we decided to go with his company, and he was very prompt in getting us scheduled.   He and his crew were very punctual and did great work. I could not believe how fast they were able to install and finish the floor.  They were all very clean and very professional. <br /> He also handled a last minute request from me to replace an existing threshold in another room. <br /> I would definitely use Francisco again and would recommend him to anyone needing wood flooring. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Sent agent to our house for measuring. Then sales quoted a price. Flooring was installed as agreed. Vinyl installed properly except overcut in one corner and corner rounding installed was not satisfactory. Then sent us an additional bill for services. Additional charges created a conflict concerning the amount of corner rounding and glue needed for job. After complaining and sending photos of work done, billing did issue a small refund for the job."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Mills River, NC

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
