"Steve Bormann was top notch! Always answered questions; explained everything that needed to be done; was very punctual; returned phone calls promptly. In total, I feel he (and his crew) went way above and beyond in doing the roofing. Replaced all vents with proper types. Capped one he didn't probably need to, but he said he was afraid the pipe might have been cracked inside the house, thus allowing a water leak. He and his crew were efficient and got the job done very quickly...and I know it was done correctly! His charge was VERY reasonable and he put some confidence back in me that there are still good roofing contractors out there. (Last year I dealt with a local contractor that I could only say was a real shyster. In fact he was fined by the State Of MN for his bad business practices. It was a very bad experience for me!) Bottom line: If I would ever need another roofing done, I'd call Bormann Bros. contracting! I highly recommend them!!"

"The entire roof was done in one day. I was satisfied with the workmanship. Except for the flashing around the chimney - which was subsequently redone w/o any hassle. The gutter covers (LEAFPROOF brand) were installed after the roof. I was concerned that they may not handle a large amount of rain, but we had a torrential downpour shortly after and they worked great! I should have had these installed years ago - no more cleaning out the gutters. "I was in a rather unique situation in that my insurance company told me that I had to get a new root, at my expense, or they would no longer cover our home. The roof was 25 years old but we had no problems with it. Needless to say, it was an unexpected expense during times with things are financially getting harder. Thus, I asked around, relying on word of mouth, for about a month and found a few so-called contractors who said that they would do the job, but unfortunately, the way they conducted their business destroyed my confidence. I needed someone who I felt I could trust, who had the right credentials, prompt, professional and reasonably priced. I turned to Angie's list and found Higgins Construction. <br /> <br /> From the beginning Mike was very professional and did everything that he said he would do when he said he would do it. Mike came out to my home for an estimate the first day I called. I told him of the other quotes I had received and he offered a very competitive price. The quote was for 3-tab asphalt shingles, due to the fact that I was trying to get the job done for the least amount of money, without compromising my home. He offered to due lifetime architectural shingles for an extra $100. I signed the contract on that deal because I realized how good a deal it was for the total price being charged. When the workers showed up they arrived before 7:00 am and were done around 5:00 pm.  They were fast, focused and personal. They cleaned up well, spared the flowers and shrubs, picked up all the nails and cleaned up as if they were never there. I was really pleased to have such a great job done at such a  low price. Everyone I talk , who knows about roofing cost, said I got a great deal. <br /> <br /> In light of that, I highly recommend Higgins Construction for anyone who is looking for good work, professional, at a reasonable price."

"This company is very easy to work with. Our first interaction was with Tyler, the consultant, who brought samples to our meeting. He described the different options, explained the benefits of each, and was knowledgeable about best practices about roof installation, ventilation, and energy efficiency. He submitted 3 proposals for different options within a week. After our selection and down payment, Edgar, the project manager contacted us and told us when the project would start. The install crew deserve a special shout-out - these guys installed our metal roof on the hottest week in July. They were diligent and showed up early to the job site. If they took breaks due to the extreme heat (which we support - the weather was close to 100 degrees all week), they would stay later to make up for the downtime. Well done, eRoof!"

"We had an older roof with wind damage. I had several contractors come out, all from Angie's List with A ratings, and Matt was the first one to say my insurance would cover the damage no problem. The others were blaming my older shingles for the issue and didn't think insurance would cover anything. I have never filed a claim before and Matt was there to help every step of the way. He was there when the adjuster showed, worked with the insurance company directly, was there when the roof was being installed and they did the roof in a day, along with some other work I needed done. Their pricing was the lowest of all the bids. Never an issue, professional, courteous, and answered my questions along the way. I will definitely be using them for some more work in the future. "It couldn’t have gone better! The crew came tore off the old roof. After they got the old roof off a storm front came through. These guys were up on the roof with a giant tarp strapping it down makin it water tight and I never had a single leak. It’s a pity that it’s a flat roof because it’s truly a work of art and no one else can see it. I’m exceptionally pleased that they have offered to come back in the spring to make sure that everything is still OK. I only have one roof , but if I had another I wouldn’t think twice about hiring them again. They were easy to work with and really know their business."
