"Our deck needed resurfacing. The structure was sound, but the decking was old and warped with nails coming out. I originally contacted the contractor who recently refinished our basement. He promised to send a bid, but between other jobs and family illness, he kept delaying. We didn't hear from him for weeks. We finally gave up and found Jason on Angie's List. He responded immediately to my inquiry. He came out to see the deck, took measurements, and answered all our questions about wood versus composite. He had a bid to us within a week. We chose cedar decking. We signed the contract and he was able to start immediately. After removing the old decking, Jason spread pea gravel on the ground and sloped it away from the house to keep rain away from the house. He also saw that the structure needed more joists. That added $200 to the job, but we were happy to have the structure reinforced. The completion was delayed by rain, but the finished product is beautiful and we couldn't be more thrilled. Jason was prompt, continually stayed in contact, explained everything thoroughly, and finished on time and on budget. We will certainly contact him for our next project. <br />"

"Cornerstone Builders and Developers were initial recommended by Reading Plumbing to do the specialized work in the bathroom.  It was necessary to remove the shelf brace to allow the plumber to get to the underside of the faucet.  The shelf brace was an integral part of the front of the vanity.  So the work had to be done carefully so that when put back it would look like the other shelf braces in the vanity.  They did a good job and even painted it so you can not even tell it had been removed.  <br /> While having that work done, I had them put up some additional kitchen crown moulding which had not been done when the house was built.  It was for a couple of small areas.  The work was complicated by trying to get it to match up completely with the already installed pieces.  The carpenter did a great quality job and spent extra time to make sure it was done right.  He also painted the pieces to assure they match all the rest of the cabinets and moulding. <br />"

"It was great working with Chad. He always let me know his plans for each day. I could count on him doing quality work. He really cares about doing things right and completing what he set out to do. He ended up finding more pieces of siding that needed replacing and didn't add anything to the estimate. It is so good to have someone to contact when something comes up. "Gene and his crew arrived at time he promised . We had a metal roof in our deck that leaked and needed replaced , so we called Gene and had him come give a estimate which we felt was very reasonable around 800.00 - 900. We picked a day to have it done , and Gene and his crew came on time and started right in building a new wood roof, all pressure treated heavy 2x8,2x12-2x10 sheets of plywood and rolled rubber roofing . He moved those heavy boards around like it was nothing very precise in his work and he doesn't stop working breaks or anything - we had him stop long enough to have a sandwich and something to drink . We hired Gene before , to help remodel our bathroom , he put up wallboard for us and trim etc and our kitchen he has put down our new vinyl floating floor and built us a new cabinet door where an old dishwasher used to be matches our cabinets perfectly after painted . My wife and I are very pleased with the work Gene Danneels Construction has done for us , I would recommend him to anyone looking for quality work at a very reasonable price . If we ever need any other work done at home , we plan on calling Gene Danneels Construction no doubt . We love our new roof on the deck we can sit out there and it can be raining and the roof doesn't leak anymore ! Thanks Gene <br />"
